Because he hasnt even got an offer from another club according to a couple of people with some good info, there is no way he will leave.
So his manager is talking crap then? What about the money factor? It has been reported that he is after a serious pay rise?

The manager is definitely looking for as much money as possible but if he was looking to leave he would have spoken to other clubs and got real offers from them. All the guys that have considered leaving are all sorted already one way or the other(Burton, Laurie, Leniu). Its the guys that dont really want to leave who are taking time(Luai, Yeo, Critta)

Yep and really no rush. The manager should take his time.

I don't think Burton, and Leniu, wanted to leave. Burton only left, and this is my opinion, was for the money. The money was to good to refuse.

Yeah maybe. I just meant the guys who seriously considered leaving got sorted first, they werent waiting around taking their time they went out and spoke to clubs asap, even Staines did that. Critta would've been delayed due to origin but his manager could speak to any club on his behalf since november.

How many clubs are looking to sign a 600k plus centre? Not many and i think the ones that would sign him are not waiting around saving a large chunk of cap space just in case Critta's negotiations fall through. If he was genuinely considering taking a big money offer from another club he would've spoken to those clubs already like

Ava not a bad pick up for depth. Thought he was older tbh.

I like Sorenson as well, has had a couple of good games against us in previous years with Graham out. Thought he’d turn out a bit better than he has so far.

I pointed to the Eagles attack when he was coach there as reason for why he would go well. Very few agreed.

Ciraldo had similar. More notably won 72-10 3 games in a row. The spine for those games

Edwards
Luai
Cleary
May

So he has success with these guys. I think Barrett did some good things but an assistant isn't super important in the overall picture

I was pretty vocal defending Barrett being brought in.

A couple of us were.

It's going to be fascinating how Barrett goes overseeing the whole squad.

I think that's something Cleary did especially well in 2020.

I'm not real sure they have brought in the 'right' players. Really need a top grade hooker, one like we stole from under their collective noses in 2019.

We have a pretty experienced coaching staff. They should know there stuff by now and what Barrett brought shouldn't be forgotten by everyone that easily.

So effectively no suspension for Naden. Amazing.

Let’s hope he gets his shit together, though. This has to the the last chance.

Personally I’d still prefer to keep looking at other options for right centre, someone who can defend a little better but has attacking skills. But Naden is the right centre for now, and he could also ply wing.

The NRL has imposed a sanction of one month's suspension on Penrith Panthers player Brent Naden following the conclusion of anti-doping processes conducted by Sport Integrity Australia and the NRL.

Naden did not contest a Notice of Alleged Anti-Doping Rule Violation in relation to positive samples for Benzoylecgonine and Methylecgonine (metabolites of Cocaine) collected from him following the NRL Grand Final on 25 October 2020.

Having established that the ingestion of the cocaine was out-of-competition and not for performance enhancing purposes, Naden is sanctioned in accordance with new provisions of the incoming World Anti-Doping Code 2021 which permit a one-month period of ineligibility for qualifying athletes who also undertake an approved rehabilitation program. The sanction will come into effect on 1 January 2021 with the commencement of the new WADA Code.

In accordance with the WADA Code, Naden's one-month period of suspension is backdated to the date of his provisional suspension and he will be eligible to return to training and competition on 1 January 2021.

The sanction issued to Naden concerns the anti-doping breach only and any other related matters will be reviewed in the new year. The Panthers and the NRL will continue to provide support to Naden.

He is very lucky. Its good for us assuming he does pull his head in and deal with whatever issues he had.

I agree he is a very very lucky boy.

Please Brent seek and then use help. Make this a turning point in your life. Work as hard as you can as a footy player and shine for the world to see.

This is very very good news. Brent hopefully is very grateful.

I say, good riddance. We have adequate cover.

The nose beers could have cost him his life, especially when playing professional sport.
