Korosiau will be playing NSW Cup and a backup if we have any injuries.

Next years squad;

1. Moylan
2. Simmons
3. Whare
4. Idris
5. Mansour
6. Soward
7 .Wallace
8. Kite
9. Segz
10. Mckendry
11. Manu
12. Taylor
13. Docker

inter:
14. Plum
15. Latimore
16. Peachey
17. Cartright
18. Brown

Which is exactly the same as this year's squad, and thus I don't think we are going to really be in a position to advance much next season. I can see a repeat of this one; dealing with most of the stragglers (with the odd Cronulla-like blip) but struggling to keep pace with the stronger sides.

Yeah I see where you're coming from but slightly disagree.

Think if we can have 90% of this line up on the park together we'll be much better for it come Sep next year.
Then include the likes of DWZ, Nabuli, Anderson etc that will come in throughout the year and I think we'll advance well into the finals.

Key is to have our halves pairing stay together for the entire (or majority) of the season.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but the Western Weekender reports we are one of three clubs interested in Willie Mason. It also mentioned Matt Robinson is off to the Titans next year.

11. Cartwright
12. Peach
13. Taylor

This is by far our best back row and needs to happen by round 6 or so next year. People might have the view that we need Bryce or Peach to come off the bench for "impact" but they are wrong. The same nonsense was said about Seg

Then we'll have 3 past it props to get us down the field. Outstanding.

Is Nabuli signed for next year? Thought nothing had been announced. Taking the final conversion for NSW Cup last week felt like a parting honour type thing. Or maybe he's been working on goalkicking.

Why not just use RCG or Anderson then, if it is such a short-term thing? A year from now, we'll be looking for a prop again, and still be debating whether Anderson and RCG are up to it. At least give them next year in this "Mason spot", and if they aren't, well, we will know and look for a new prop, as we would have to do anyway.

If he's cheap, why not go after him? Would be good just for experience alone even for just 1 year, whilst the likes of Anderson, RCG, etc. get eased in. Worse case scenario is that he plays near a full season in NSW Cup.

We can't buy a gun prop or a good young prop if they aren't on the market and our juniors aren't ready. Our current props are a disgrace with Mansour covering for them every single week. A player looking for 1 more year is exactly what we want

Would prefer Mason for a season over Packer. Mason has done thousands of stupid things in his career, but even all of them piled together aren't close to as bad as the crime that Packer committed to be behind bars.

Mason has actually really got his shit together since leaving the Roosters. Seems to have matured a lot and what he's dishing out for Knights this season is well and truly ahead of what Kite has dished out for us. He may be going on a season too long if we signed him for next year, but if nothing else it gives us an experienced player who has managed to get his career on track after seemingly throwing it away. He has worked hard to do so.

Ideally we can sign Kasiano. He's underperforming for the Bulldogs, but Cleary turned Masoe into an absolute beast for us.

They just reported on Channel 9 that Gus (and I think Ivan) visited Russell Packer in Silverwater Gaol on the weekend. Apparently he is due for parole in January.
