Both of these.

We have no idea what's going on - so why sit here on a forum constantly stressing about shit we know nothing about?
Yep we should just wait and trust the club I suppose, with their track record we have absolutely nothing to worry about.......

He's a f**king imbecile. Whinges that Junior Paulo wasn't re-signed with more than 12 months left on his contract and so I tell him clubs wait until there's about a year to go. Then the Bulldogs start talks with Jackson WITH ONLY A YEAR TO GO like I f**king told him and he thinks it's different to the Paulo situation.

Paulo is off contract at the same time as Jackson, and if we want to keep him we will be in talks with him right now. But like you say, if he and his manager think they can get more elsewhere then they will hold off and test the market unless we come up with a bigger offer. If that bigger offer is more than he's worth then I hope we don't offer it. Desperation is what got us into the mess we were in.

It was only about a week or so ago i brought up we should be looking to extend him you f**k stain, so now it's ok just this week but 10 days ago i was an imbecile for bringing it up???? You would be happy to let someone like Paulo walk out the door just so we can sign some more solid depth huh Mr mediocrity???

What about someone like Charly Runciman, who is in the UK at present? Has massive potential.

Oh no you didn't you lying little douchebag. Here's our exchange from eleven days ago:

If the club had sense the likes of Norman, Peats and Junior should of been under lock and key. Too bad we can't even sign sign a centre off contract next season let alone lock up our good players 18months ahead.

Nobody locks up players more than 12 months in advance. If you extend them too soon then the upgrade removes any advantage you had under the cap. The key is to have them on unders at least at the end of their contract. If you extend them before their final year then they're never on unders.

Yeah we should wait till every other club can have a crack at them to push their value up. Signing them early means no bidding wars especially if they are happy with the coach and club. But you know best your track record on here is just fantastic and the envy of the mole and the lurker.

No club re-signs a player more than a year in advance. Many players aren't re-signed until after the backflip deadline. Therefore re-signing them with a year to run IS 'signing them early'.

And if you think you know best then I'm sure you can give plenty of examples of players re-signed with 18 months or more left to run on their contracts.

My track record is better than anyone else's because I side with the professionals. You're the one who thinks you know better than the clubs.

And then you have the f**king nerve to think the Bulldogs are doing what you thought should be done (re-signing players with 18 months left on their contracts) when they are doing what I said all clubs do (enter negotiations with a year left on contract).

So don't f**king come here crowing about how you were right you maggot. This is just like when Mitch Cornish made a couple of tackles against us and you were straight into me for saying he's a poor defender. His defensive stats for the match ended up with him missing six tackles from only 18 attempts: http://live.nrlstats.com/matches/nrl/match36088.html

One game is a small sample but it supports my assessment more than it supports yours. The fact he is currently clubless says plenty more about his defence.

You would be happy to let someone like Paulo walk out the door just so we can sign some more solid depth huh Mr mediocrity???
If we couldn't retain him at the right price I would let him walk so we had more money to buy a fullback.

Been busy

18 months left??? You do know that they are off contract and able to negotiate with other teams in November??? How is this 18 months??? So glad i worry you that much you dig up threads from two weeks ago. And Cornish made two fantastic try saving tackles in that game on his goal line. This was just after you bagged his defence, sure he missed 6 tackles but we did a good job isolating him all game Sandow would have probably missed about 15. You were happy for SK to sign Nuffies on massive overs because he was your boy but we better not pay overs for one of the best young rowers in the comp .

It's not, it's 12 months, like I f**king told you. Their contracts end in October, not December. Anyway YOU were the one who said 18 months. That would mean contract negotiations in the middle of the season. That's not something any player wants to deal with while focusing on playing footy.

Agreed. That's why I wanted Sandow gone as well.

Kearney had to pay overs just to get enough first graders to the club. We've got plenty of first graders now, meaning we can afford to be picky about which ones we pay big money to keep. Do you think we should match any stupid offers from other clubs more desperate than us?

You mentioned 18 months, i was responding to you. I'd be very disappointed to lose Junior Paulo he should be our top priority as far as i'm concerned. We were looking at throwing stupid money at guys like Scott and Tamou and here we have a young guy who could get to that level if we have truly turned the corner as a club we have to hang onto him.

Ahead of Norman and Peats?

We don't know how much we offered Scott or Tamou (though there's a reason we got Scott but not Tamou). We also don't know how much we are offering Paulo, or how much other clubs are offering, but if he signs elsewhere we will know that he was asking too much.

Yes IMO, we were at totally different side when he was on the park this season. And i Meant Matt Scott not Beau.

So, no idea if their list is accurate, but some website has the following centres as 'off contract' at the end of this year:

Kirisome Auva'a
Cheyse Blair (lol)
Davin Crampton
Jordan Drew
James Elias
Hymel Hunt
Richard Kenner
Joey Leilua
Jacob Loko
Keith Lulia
Nathan Milone
Ed Murphy
Dane Nielsen (no, he signed for Bradford I am quite sure)
John Olive
Joel Reddy (lol)
Travis Robinson
Chase Stanley
Setefano Taukafa
Thompson Teteh
Brad Tighe
Aaron Whitchurch

Not familiar with many of them to be honest.

Kirisome Auva'a is a very good player. Think he might have a bit of a domestic violence problem or something. But he's got heaps of potential.

With Foran there is Norman as valuable now as a Junior Paulo??? Not saying we shouldn't do everything to sign Normie i just think Junior is that important to us.

For me in order it's Norman > Paulo > Peats.

Halves are very hard to find, and considering our fullback issues aren't solved for 2017, we should be at least keeping our halves combo together.

With Foran likely to miss a chunk of preseason on the NZ tour, and then his break afterwards, it's going to take him and norman a while to gel and know each others games. I'd dare say we wouldn't see the best of the combo under year 2. If we don't re-sign Norman we go into 2017 as with another first year combo, and the same difficulties. I say the club needs to move mountains to ensure we lock up Norman for the term of Keiran's contract.

Norman can also play fullback if we're ever up shit creek there.

For mine, he is definitely our biggest priority but Paulo is clearly #2.

Forans contract is only 2 years with an extra 2 in his favour. At 1.2 million dollars (prob top 5 paid in the league) if he doesn't hit the ground running in 2016 we have wasted about 20% of our cap. No excuses.
