David Gower got an education award at the RLPA awards last night.

Also Tyrell Fuimaono got NYC Education Player of the Year.

Fuimaono is a success story of the NRL Indigenous School to Work Program, with the 19 year old currently enrolled in a Bachelor Business & Commerce at the University of Western Sydney.

Fuimaono has achieved High Distinction and Distinction grades in his first year

which are the equivalent of his on-field success where he has gained selection in the Junior Kangaroos and the NSW U/20s teams.

Fuimaono attended the NRL Indigenous Leadership Camp earlier in the year and is part of a developing leadership and mentoring program at the Eels.

Tyrell is normally a back rower but can play centre. Defensively sound. Good attacking player. Will be interested to see what happens with him. A good off season could see him in first grade contention given our lack of centre resources.

Looking more and more like Ryan "the backup" Morgan to play every game of first grade next season.

With an attacking right side of Beau Scott and Morgs - will we ever even go to the left?

Forans contract is only 2 years with an extra 2 in his favour. At 1.2 million dollars (prob top 5 paid in the league) if he doesn't hit the ground running in 2016 we have wasted about 20% of our cap. No excuses.

I'm not saying Foran won't deliver 100%. But partnerships/combinations take time regardless of an individual's skill

Yes, add Foran / Gordon and we could easily have some set plays happening on that side. But off course it won't be as strong as the other side.

Still plenty of time to add to our squad.

Fuimoano plays right side if I remember correctly. I also thought he played more time a centre than as a back rower as well.

I assume (could be wrong) that if Bevan French steps up as a fullback next year, then Michael Gordon could play centre.

Off topic There is a big rumour going round that the NRL want the Gold Coast to become the Bears in red and black or just have the Central Coast Bears. plans as early as 2016 season.
Just heard Gibbsy on 2UE talk about this with Greg Florimo. Interesting times

A usually reliable poster on the other site claims Parra have signed a center who is yet to be announced. Also claims Cornish and Kelepi are done deals

Last I heard, Cornish was done while Kelepi was still up in the air.

We are definitely pursuing a few options for our right edge backline but I don't have any new names to throw into the ring.

which means Hoppa is gorne I guess

One would hope so Twiz. Just hope his potential departure is a clean separation without salary cap considerations.
Bryson Goodwin would cost say 200k max one would imagine vrs Hoppas 750 to 800k. Who is the better player based on 2015 form? Personally Id prefer Bryson regardless of cost.
