I'd also imagine we would need to work out how much we will be paying Hoppa to play elsewhere before we go out and find another player.

I do not think we will be paying him anything, at least under the cap. His contract has expired and outside of the NRL this is a civil dispute. I guess this is best case scenario, but I have not seen anything reported to believe this is suppose to play out otherwise.

Just read that the Dogs are trying to lock up Jackson before he comes off contract, I suggested we do this with Junior Paulo but was shut down by the forum guru who told me clubs don't do this :roll:

You would hope the club would have plans for signing him Norman and Peats up long term before they are all off contract. But what would I know???

Never seen Hymel Hunt play, but his junior background is pretty good (made NYC side of the year at centre, played QLD 20's and junior Roos). Is young and bloody big for a back , 191 cm / 99kgs.

The only ones who can tell us how much we will include Hoppa under our cap for is the NRL.

The first point is now entirely up to the lawyers. You would hope the club has been in contact with the NRL regarding the second point and have discussed the coming scenarios.

At the end of the day, chances are case doesn't get completed before next season ramps up and the idea of ours & Hoppa's hands being tied until then should concern the NRL

He played against us down in Melbourne. Wasn't that impressive. Pretty average list to be honest. Olive and Kenner look the best of those names.

At least the club are trying to be proactive just not sure hiring that grub is the way to go.
