All is fair in love and war.
Will SK attract any kiwis because of his polynesianness (?). Come play with me, bro. It'll be sweet as, bro. Us fellas, we gotta stick together, bro. We'll get beached as, bro.
Just a bit racist?

He will be a better role model if he maximises his income.

actually, on the contrary, SK decided in the end not to persue Orford and Blair, 2 blokes that he worked and played with in Melbourne because he believed they weren't comitted to the club first, in fact he asked Orford why he wanted to come back and he basically told him because his wife wanted to and that I wouldn't come for less than he's currently on in the UK..
I get that and Kudos to SK for doing it. My point is, when a guy is off contract and you either want to keep him or sign him to your club you have to be ruthless. You have to do whatever it takes to get your target to a certain extent. I don't think this approaches the line of immorality let alone crosses it.
why would you let someone agree to terms without making them sign a contract or the very least a letter of intent
Absolutely! I'm no rocket scientist but once agreeing to terms i'd be putting a contract in front of them immediately.

and im no lawyer...i can understand a contract would take time to get drawn up and looked at by lawyers etc...but youd thind a letter of intent would be something pretty standard in the nrl world
You'll find that the NRL changed the way that contracts are registered. So verbal contracts and letters of intent are not deemed as binding.

It looks like Sandow might be in the same boat. He doesn't appear to be committed to the eels either.
Time to cut him loose SK.
But they would be in a court of law which is all that would matter if a club wished to pursue it...I can understand players being reluctant to sign those however..
