from what I hear, forget it...close up the shop! we're done with any buying.

If this is true stagger than all I can do is laugh.

Seriously f**ked if we are going to rely on Sandow, Roberts, Tonga, Paulo and Penese as our signings along with bringing up our juniors.

Might as well start looking ahead to 2013. At least we'll have Hindy's money to spend......

Definitely guesswork. Used to be some promises and even a few excuses. Funnily enough we don't hear from 3P now they've been elected.......

I'd say Kearney wouldn't want the circus we had last year.

Which I agree within that regard.

I would like to hear from our board in regard to the new direction they are taking, a bit more on the proposed Academy..... somthing, anything positive that can keep us even remotely interested in attending games and being involved in the club.

The membership of this club will decrease dramatically for 2012.

I think stags was taking the piss. There will be more signings. However my feeling is that it is contracted players awaiting releases. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse.

I tend to agree with this. It's good the club is keeping quiet to prevent leaks etc like last year. But they're not really being at all pro-active in regards to communication with fans and members. And if membership is the way of the future they had better pick up their act soon. I don't think there's too many members who feel they are actually part of the club like we were as year or two ago, or like other members are currently of their respective clubs. All that's going to result is in a lot of current members not renewing next year because the club isn't giving them a reason to.

No, we have Nolan, he will fix everything!

They are very quiet aren't they?

Membership could potentially be at it's lowest, ever if they can't inspire people with a decent signing.......

It's ok though, there is a plan.......

Righto then, tell us who you would have signed, how much they would have cost us, and what you would have told them to get them here.

I would have signed Blair, Champion, and Williams. They would have cost $250K each.
I would have told them they would have the chance to play under Kearney, and I would have chucked in an autographed Jarryd Hayne jersey for each of them.

Nolan is one reason I still hold some hope.....he is very good at what he does and is looking to build things from bottom up.

We've done our job it seems.

IMO yes. Sandow is potentially a good signing but hardly an inspiring one.

Not my job but if the club is serious about moving forward we do need more than one established first grader to do it.

I hope he is taking the piss. 2012 won't look much better than 2010-2011 if they don't.

are you being sarcastic??

if you're looking for a scapegoat, leave this bloke out of it, he WILL fix the problem, our main problem for many years is talent identification at junior level and he's already addressing that by nabbing a couple of Manly and Dogs juniors for our Mathews and Ball squads next season, he's an extremely important part of our future as we regroup as a club..

anyone else got a a scapegoat???

He did have the entire South East QLD to choose from, this will be his true test, there is much more competition down here......

WTF are you talking about, scapegoat, are you f**cking kidding me?

Signing O'Sullivan from Melbourne has worked wonders for Roosters hasn't it????

Just because we signed Nolan, doesn't make us home and hosed! The reason Melbourne and the Bronco's are successful is because they have a strict culture from top to bottom, something we have lacked for a long time!!!

Still not convinced we are anywhere near that yet and therefore Nolan may be ineffective, regardless of his actual skills........

Perhaps one of the reasons that certain players weren't signed is that the coach didn't feel they will fit a culture he wants to create?

Perhaps some of the players were making demands that would mean we lose someone else (or fail to sign someone else) that the coach felt would be a good addition to said culture?
