I didn't say he produced the player. In fact I question how much any coach ever produces players. I am more inclined to think that some coaches are just better at identifying future stars than others.

There is also the certainty that some coaches (or leaders in general) foster environments where people are more likely to reach their potential, whether that be young players or the scout and recruiters that poach them. But no matter how good an environment is, and how much potential a person has, if they have a shit attitude they won't become the person they could be.

The amount of players Nolan has brought over for us has been incredible and the way he's gotten some of the better players from other areas in our younger teams to bring them up into first grade is astounding. Hopefully the club has already identified his successor.
