Is he Fijian? Hayne attracting alot of bati

We haven't signed them yet, mate - we don't even know if we are interested.

As for Ashton being a pillow - well, I still think he would add a lot to this side. He is a far more physical forward than a lot of our forwards.

Don't forget Moose and Jacob "indefinitely" Loko, who we haven't seen in 2014 as yet.

Is there a better right edge backrower than gstewart in the comp? His skillset in attack is unique, and he isnt afraid to hit in defence.
The only concern ought to be age and injury.
Out for 6 more weeks, top player when fit but how often is he fit these days???

if G Stewart was not on his downward slide because of age and injury Manly would have found a way to keep him.

Older players get pushed out because of the salary cap unless they are prepared to accept a reduced salary more befitting the current form.

Gus Gould wrote an interesting article this week about this following the benji Marshall news... He asked tongue in cheek if benji should compensate the tigers for how poorly he played before he left and considering benjis admission he was no longer motivated.

He wasn't expecting poorly performing players to have their contracts rescinded due to lack of form but provided good insight into why clubs are hesitant to sign veterans under the cap system

It's just the same as us not keeping Fuifui past this season. All comes down to a business decision about value for money vs what a player is willing to accept/look elsewhere for.

Story in today's smh says Saints and Rabbits favourites to sign Tariq Sims.

Can't see how Souths could be on the mix given they just signed Grant and Stewart.

Well, as well as having lost S. Burgess, Te'o is off contract and likely to leave, and Champion, Picker, Merrit, Clark and Lowe are off contract. So if they got him I can't see why they'd have a problem fitting him in.
