The Roosters have gotten great value out of RTS the past two years and they will almost certainly get value out of him this year too if he's only on about $400k. Why are they whinging? Eventually you have pay market price and they chose to pay market price elsewhere in their roster. Their 'academy' is so good they will find another fullback easy enough. Latrell Mitchell is even mentioned in the article.

It's alot harder to keep something quiet about a signing at one of the Sydney clubs than it is to keep it quiet about someone signing for a team in another country.

It appears even the Rorters have been taken by surprise with this one.

You would have to think that as the Rorters have signed a winger from the UK Super League that it's unlikely they will re-sign both SKD and Tupou. Although there was talk of playing Ferguson back at Fullback.
