Good, straight runner of the ball. Not much between him and Peni Terepo from those highlights. I'd rather us stick with Peni over this guy as we know Peni can play a few first grade games here and there. Much rather us develop Alex Twal, 235metres against Souths, and had another big game against the Tigers. Works hard off the ball too, handy offload, and a good body shape. I reckon he could get a small crack at NSW cup this year.

We need a fullback. I seriously hope we are not looking at spending big coin on Toupou, an out and out winger.

I still expect Hayne to be the fullback in 2016.

....and this is part of the problem. If we are still seriously thinking that JH might be back for 2016, it makes it hard go for an all out fullback (or to convince one to come here)....even though this what we really need.

Both Tupou and Radradra are left side players though. Which one makes the big jump over to the other wing? I'm happy with Folau on the wing for the moment, he'll receive proper wing training over the next pre-season and I reckon he'll drop a few kgs, he needs to work on his positioning and turn and chase.

my big problem with Falou is his lack of pace and gets caught out of position defending kicks way too easily.

And that's from a lack of experience on the wing. I think we view him as a long-term winger, and he'll train for the rest of the year there, and be given a full pre-season to work on his positional play. As for his pace, as I mentioned I believe he'll drop a few kgs and as such he'll become faster, but his strength isn't his pace. He didn't use pace to score his 2 tries in his 2nd game.

On a completely unrelated matter, what has happened to Maroubra Eel and his other eastern suburbs beaches posse?

For Hayne to return he would have to

1- Not make the final 53 man roster which id say he is about 40%
2- Not make the 10 man practise squad which id say he would be 80%
3-At this stage he would be about 20% chance of not making it, and even then he may go ill give myself a crack next year-Especially if he was close.Unless he is totally blown away and he knows its going to be near impossible will he return for 2016.

I think most likely he makes the 10 men pratice squad, which makes him hang around for that extra 12 mths. This would be the most likely out come. In this case beeing 27 now and 28 in 2016, he would be 29 in 2017 and 2 years out of the game. Unless he was able to come back 2016 i wouldnt want to pay him silly money at age 29 knowing he only has 2-3 years left at the top!

I thought he may have returned last night under a new name and commenced a thread about punting. :-k

No, as my second sentence made clear (I thought). If the club believe this JH's return is a serious possibility, then it constrains our recruiting behaviour.

Given the way that we've recruited and who we are still rumoured to sign or chasing, I highly doubt the club is expecting Hayne to return.
