Name a kid that was poached that we desperately wanted to keep in say the last 3-4 years?

Mitch Moses is the only name I can think of. Even then I'm not sure on the time frame.

Moses wanted to go to the Tigers, no matter what we did we weren't going to keep him here. Like Forty has said, we haven't lost a player so far that we've wanted to keep, no doubt in the future that will change purely because of the quality and rate that we're producing these juniors. Even then we may be able to find room.

I think Merrin is a good work horse and that's pretty much it.

Tepai is our Merrin and he comes in at 1/3 the price, thereabouts, and has far more explosive attacking and defensive power and skiils than Merrin. I would not be surprised that Tepai will more than likely take Merrin's SOO jumper this year or next. On the books of the Cap, we are doing much better than the Duke.

Mau is far cheaper and an overall better player than Sika Manu.

Mannah is a much better prop and value for $$$$ than any of the panthers props too.

Peats is a better overall hooker than Segreyaro and probably comes in around the same $$$.

Seriously, our pack shits all over the Panthers in almost all areas, particularly on cap $$$$ being spent far less than the Dukes, leaving lots of cap $$$ to acquire Foran who completely and utterly shits on Soward.

Even Sandow completely shits on Wallace.

And it won't be long during the early stages of this season when even Hopoate shows that he is a much better fullback than that pussy foot wanking Moylen.

The evidence of all this should be revealed on the leaderboard come round 22 onwards.

Penrith do have a few good players... Brown, that kiwi center, Moylen, Segreyaro, and a few others.

Segyaroo has the form over Peats
Plum/latimore are both better value than Mannah -Not as good players but better value.
Moylan costing a lot less than Hoppa and at this stage is superiror-Time will tell.
Sika manu-IMO will be DUKED out.Lets see at end of year.Im pretty sure they signed lewis brown-Sika Manu and segyaroo for what Luke lewis was costing.
Wallace would cost less than half Sandow.He was unwanted and they threw him a lifeline.Of course Sandow is better

As for Soward-. Do you beleive that an unwanted player in the NRL, and a guy going like busted in the english superleague was offered 650k from Panthers? lol.
Merrin vs Tepai is unfair- Maybe compare him watmough and Tepai too cartwright would be fair.

Don't forget that definitely over-paid for Peachey as he was wanted and rated by the Sharks. The Panthers must have come in at massive overs for him and he only played 14 games last year.

Peachey is a Weapon thou so how could you say they paid overs? I reckon he is worth 400k every day of the week.I doubt they paid that-SO Unders in my books.
Id say they threw about 300k at him tops.

There recruiting has been top notch in the last 3-4 years.Every team will sign a few lemons. Off the top of my head i cant think of one theyve signed thats not done a job -
Whare -segyaroo-Manu-Peachey-wallace-Soward-Idris-Brown-Taylor-Kite-Latimore.....Lets see how korisau goes.

See this was the scary part- From the era when the Hindys, cayless,ryan-lyons come thru along with a heap of the average first graders we then went a 10 yrs period producing a superstar in Hayne but other than that a few avergae first grade players-Mannah-Mateo-Inu-Reddy.

This is the first time in a long time we have some good kids coming thru.Its exciting. Im not knocking parra in comparrison to Penrith-I think we are just 1-2 years away from there blueprint they developed. Than i reckon both team could be top 4 for a long time.
Would'nt people like that thou? The two western suburb teams beeing the teams to beat rather than roosters and Souths?
