It's still in limbo as Manly will be afforded the final offer. But Parra are red hot favourites at this stage, and Manly would have to give him the Leagues Club to trump the Eels offer.

Maybe he and his manager thinks he is worth more than we offered?

I think a likely scenario is that both DCE and Foran will sign with other Clubs, with Manly then able to up their offer to one of them and they will end up re-signing one back before the Round 13 deadline.

To be honest, it would not surprise me if this has been DCE's Managers tactic from the outset.

And to add to what Gronk said, if they weren't already scouting the likes of Nathan Davis and Pauli Pauli I would be posing serious questions about their recruitment personnel. Furthermore our ability to retain players like Davis and Pauli will not be impacted by Foran, who is slated to take over Hayne's position, relatively speaking, in the cap.

Davis, presuming he stays, will replace one of Morgan, Robinson, Takairangi, Faraimo, Champion or even Hopoate in our top roster in 2016. Pauli should already be part of the top 25 and Arthur/Anderson/Peter Sharp will have a budget for what he is worth to the team in the cap. I'm confident that we have overhead on that space if need be but if Manly come knocking with a $400k+ offer for Pauli we can let him go knowing there is cover (although I would like Pauli to stay) from other kids coming through.

It has been some time since we have lost a junior we wanted to genuinely keep. It will certainly happen at some point but it will likely be for considerable overs or in a position in which we are truly stacked in talent given that the club seems to be on the rise.

What would the Duke do in these circumstances?

It seems like both DCE and Foran are waiting for the other one to announce they are signing elsewhere so that they can then stay at Manly knowing they could probably then squeeze more $$'s out of Manly as there'll only be one marquee player to take the lion's share there...

I mean last week, DCE's manager was saying on Tuesday/Wednesday that DCE would annoucne his decision by the end of last week. Didn't happen. Maybe the word was going around that Foran was ready to annouce his Eels deal last week (as per the SMH story last Friday) so the DCE camp were going to announce his staying at Manly after that...but it didn't happen so the stalemate continues...

If I was to speculate, I wold say that if there is no announcement by Manly before Friday's game that Foran is stayin with them, he'll be an Eel in 2016. Others have said similar, it makes sense.

They dont really put themself in those situations to begin with.They go after guys who are looking for a chance so they get good value for money (sika manu/taylor/peachey/wallace/soward/kite/soward/segyaroo/idris/lewis brown) or have made up there mind on leaving-Merrin for example has made it clear he wants to leave Saints, kinda like Watmough did.
Manly however would be upset if we take Foran a lot lot more.Same as Hoppa.
Now of course they have done the same to us in the past.But im just saying i bet they go hard for a few of our guys-At worse driving there prices up.And theyl have the money to do it!

He's alright but nothing amazing. The one I'd be hanging onto from our props in the NYC this year is Alex Twal. I think he's something special, he reminds me of a young James Tamou. We'll see how Tom Amone and Cameron King progress through the year but they're both potentially ones we need to hold onto as well.

From the current 20/21 year olds, Davis and Pauli are the 2 we could easily hold onto imo.
