Can Korobeite kick goals? Does he have experience at fullback if it's needed? Would he have cost much more than Robinson? Would he have accepted a one year deal?

Stupid comparison. They are completely different players in every sense other than their speed. And if Korobeite was such a gun and such good value why would the Tigers have released him while still under contract?

If you're watching that Tahs game, there is no way that Izzy will run through a bunch of arm grabbers in NRL like he did just then.

Rather then spending a million on izzy I would prefer spending $500k on a centre such as hurrell/Johnson/Gagai etc and $500k on an experienced forward James/bird/thiaday/Myles/Snowden

If Sam Burgess was on the market he's first priority would be to go back to the Bunnies and I am sure they would shed players to fit him in.

Same goes with Hayne and us.

Where there's a will there's a way and I am sure that Dave Smith will kick the tin for players of the calibre of Burgess, Hayne, Izzy & GI.

Disagree there. If Burgess comes back, Joel Reddy will retire and that will give Souths enough cap space to sign Burgess.

If Hayne were to come back, we'd be forced to release/unable to re-sign Hoppa, Semi, Norman, Sandow, Mau, Jnr Paulo, Peats, every junior that anyone here had wraps on plus be stripped of all competition points for a year.

We just don't have the contract negotiators that other teams do

A DT reporter was on Hadley's show today and said they had spoken to Seward regarding a plan if Hayne's NFL experiment was to fail.

Seward said we couldn't accommodate him into the 2015 cap if he returns prior to the June 30 deadline, but can definitely afford him from 2016 onwards. To be honest, I thought it would have been the other way around...

Watmough and friends (Takairangi, et al) were bought with Hayne's money. There's no f**king way we didn't know he was leaving.

The marquee money counts too. Because when Hayne left we could give it to other merkins. That's another $600k for a total of $1.2M

Imagine how much he would've been on next year if he'd stayed!

Parramatta chairman Steve Sharp hits back at Manly Sea Eagles legend Peter Peters

HOSTILITIES between 68-year foes Manly and Parramatta have re-ignited after a Sea Eagles legend and board member predicted Eels coach Brad Arthur may soon be sacked.

Parramatta chairman Steve Sharp has fired back at Manly director Peter Peters, who questioned why star Sea Eagle Kieran Foran signed with the Eels.

Peters wrote in his Manly Daily column: “If Eels coach Brad Arthur has told Manly’s Kieran Foran he will be in charge of Parramatta for the next four years, history shows it is a promise he cannot deliver.

“Since Brian Smith finished up mid-season in 2006 there has been a revolving door for Eels coaches. The axe has come down on seven coaches in the past eight years. Parramatta has been a graveyard for coaches as the club craves success in the NRL.”

Speaking after his team’s 29-16 loss to New Zealand in Auckland, Sharp stood solidly by Arthur.

“Kieran Foran wants to be coached by Brad Arthur,” Sharp said. “Brad gets the best out of the players. Kieran is already a top-line player but he wants to be a better player.

“Brad’s got another two years remaining after this season. He has a great rapport with the players. They understand him, he understands them.

“He is a tough coach and I think he will be here for a long time. I haven’t sacked a coach (since becoming chairman) and I have no intention of doing that.”

Sharp added: “I think ‘Zorba’ (Peters) is trying to protect his own patch. I understand that.”

Peters was all fired up when he penned his controversial column.
