it's quite possible that even though hayne may have been on 600k this season, that the club cleared over a mill in cap space for next season to accomodate re-signing him

Actually there is an extra hooker. He plays dummy half, like all hookers. Then Peats moves from dummy half to lock (as opposed to middle half).

That's what i said 2 posts prior. Glad you agree.

you can call anything whatever you want, it is just a phrase. But your middle half phrase is a poor indicator. old school ball playing lock is far more apt (osbpl for short?)

he was amazing against the Brumbies and he is twice the size of any other winger

Listening to triple m this morning and their Monday morning NRL wrap up....Matty john has been informed the board members that want Anderson as coach he has been reporting about are no longer at the club (since last year) so the board are 100% behind Arthur...he then says that's good news then says here's the bad news you have South Sydney this weekend and laughs. Such a toss

You called him a hooker even though he neither attacked at dummy half nor hooked in scrums.

I'd say that describes a player who runs more than he passes (like Merrin or Parker). Middle half best describes a player who passes more than he runs (like all halves) but who defends in the middle. I agree this also describes the hooker, however he is a special case in that he plays at dummy half. The middle half plays mostly at first receiver.

Souths are due for a loss. Whether we can be good enough to make that happen this week remains to be seen.

Well he is off contract at the end of this season at this point in time.

If he is that good, you have to ask why the Tigers, a club renowned for producing young juniors, let him go to keep an ageing Pat Richards and sign a journeyman like Kevin Naquama.

He obviously has some flaws unsuited to rugby league perhaps.

Can you blame him?

After that pathetic first half against the Warriors, if we repeat the same things against Souths, it will be 40-nil by oranges...

He is probably terrible at turning around and chasing the kick. He was only good enough for NSW cup in league.

true, but we have a coach to fix that

I've only seen him play yesterday so I dont know how consistent he is but I've never seen a bloke bump off other very big players like he did yesterday

I reckon he would go well playing prop a la FFMM, decent winger tho

I've watched his career pan out at the Waratahs.

He's as you said - 24/7 Beast Mode in attack, but he tackles like a winger, and turns very slowly.

Still - he's enormous potential.

He's gonna give to us till Round 13, especially if we keep losing.

He's gonna give to us till Round 13, especially if we keep losing.

After this week v Souths we have a much smoother run till round 10 in comparison to our opening 4

Tigers at ANZ
Titans at home
Knights away
Broncos away
Storm at home
Warriors at home

Then we have Rabbitohs Panthers and Cowboys to round out till round 13

Considering g Knights are our bogey team I think it's doable to be at least 50% win loss ratio by then
