Not disputing that and not disagreeing with the fact we have definitely been behind the 8 ball for years in this regard. Personally I think the Emperor had a lot to do with where we are today and it will take another 10 years for us to reach the heights of the Roosters in regard to Board Members. One thing that is certain however is that we are more advanced down this track then we were 5 years ago.

Since you know this then what the hell are you on about? We are behind the eight ball. Just because we aren't as bad as in previous years, doesn't make losing a source like Moss ok or something that should be ignored ou of hand. It is a severe dereliction of duty.

Like I have said one step forward and three steps back with this club is normal.

How is Gyngall doing this outside of the Cap or is he just providing sponsorship?

Does it matter? The important point is that clubs like Easts are doing it and we are not. Like I asked before but no one has an answer yet.

Who are our sugar daddies? Bill Moss came rolling in, but we chose to kick him in the head.

Can anyone name his replacement/s???

Right, so because Nine sponsor the Roosters does that make any payment he gets for appearing inclusive in the cap?

Maybe he doesn't get paid..m he just gets a job after footy

Well this is a list of the Roosters current sponsors.

http://corporate.roosters.com.au/current-partners.html

I don't see Channel 9 on the list, so I'm presuming any money paid by Channel 9 to James Maloney and Sonny Bill Williams is Salary Cap exempt.

As well as any car provided by any of the Nick Politis Car Dealerships that he owns across Australia. I note that Nick Politis owns shares in a number of Car Dealerships across the country, that sell just about every type of mainstream car sold in Australia, except for, you guessed it...Peugeot! Funny that.

I just dont agree with your 1 step forward 3 steps back attitude.
You seem to take every possible opportubity to hang the sins of the past on the current administration without letting them do their job.

Would you admit we are better placed now in all facets of the club then we were 4 years ago?

all guests on television get a fee. i remember paul kent a couple of weeks ago giving des hasler a plug by saying that des asked how much his fee was for appearing on 360 and told them to give it to men of league and that he was the only guest to not accept their fee last year

Follow the link to 2015 Corporate Partners.
You will see Nine Entertainment Company, they own Channel 9.

Holy crap they've got some sponsors.

I wonder if there has been a "crack down" on third party sponsors. I note that all their board members are now Corporate Partners.

PS - Actually I've had a look..every club has a s$%tload of Corporate Partners listed on their website now...

So I note having looked at some Corporate Directories for different clubs that obviously we have a sponsorship deal with the NT Government and the ACT Government sponsors the Raiders. Perhaps the clubs should be talking to each other about a Territory Trophy between the two clubs?

In the last round of the season this year it could even be both teams last match of the year!

I'm actually surprised, given the number of organisations associated with all the clubs, that there is enough organisations interested in the NRL, who are not already a sponsor of a club, that would be providing third party agreements that would not be included in the Salary Cap.

I can only presume that money from "NRL Corporate Partners" (i.e. Telstra, Foxtel, Nine, CUB and the like) and paid to players is not included in the salary cap?

PS - I note that Foxtel and Nine are not NRL Sponsors according to this list http://www.nrl.com/About/AustralianRugbyLeague/Sponsors/tabid/10630/Default.aspx

Pretty harsh on Foxtel. I'm thinking every other sponsor combined that the NRL has wouldn't even come close to the amount that Foxtel gives the NRL each year.

According to Phil's site Kevin Locke has a clause in his contract allowing him to return to the NRL if an offer become available. Would we take him to play fullback? He was a very good player and I was actually surprised the Warriors released him and opted for Tompkins.

i'm hearing his current esl club WANT him to take advantage of his clause.....the warriors punted him because of his attitude, and it looks like that hasn't changed

It seems Locke has used his super league stint as a holiday.

But I reckon if he could find some of his past form, he would be a very good option.

he's a chance of being a scottish rugby league convert apparently. who would have known his surname was mis-spelt with a k instead of a h.

Another midget back rower? That describes Peats for 40 minutes every week.

Docker is 6ft and 100kg....that's ok...ish. But a strange pick if true. Hits like a hammer but doesn't offer much in attack, but I guess he might be seen as a different bench option that could give us more flexibility in the timing / nature of interchanges.
