We are much stronger with Burton in our top 30 than out of it. We are playing for a premiership. We don't have to do the right thing and be nice. The majority of the Dog's side is rubbish. Any player they want to force on us will be low quality or someone past it.
I wouldn't bend to their or Burton's agents' demands.
It would be much better if he stays and learns off 2 quality halves here for another year rather than be thrown into the frying pan at the Bulldogs.

Im not saying i believe it but its certainly possible he is a young guy, competing with just Naden for a starting for the centre spot is a lot more attractive then competing with Naden and Momirovski, if there is any truth to it I dont think we get much value out of forcing him to stay. It depends how much he really wants out, if his manager is just bullshitting then sure we are better off holding onto him most likely but if he genuinely wants to go to the dogs now i;d be looking to get something for him cause if a guy doesnt want to be here they are not going to be playing good footy.

IF he is phoning it in he wont get anywhere near the NRL side and he wont be worth anything to us. I dont think he would do that but if it gets to that situation we are the losers, we pay a guy to phone it in and then leaves without us getting anything.

Hmm, disagree on Burton being better off staying here. Nothing is as good as genuine experience, and Burton hardly played any footy last year as it is. He’d learn a lot more playing in FG than at training with us, and if there’s another Covid outbreak he’s risking no footy at all this year.

I hardly watched the bulldogs last year, but looking at Napa’s stats it’s a bit of a mixed bag.

Running the ball is a weakness, he only gets slightly over 8m per run. The better props are around 9m. On the plus side his errors a very low, only. 3 last season.

In defence though he seems pretty good, decent tackle efficiency.

The dogs have been too busy buying backs. Their forward depth is terrible. One Prop is suspended for 4 weeks. Napa and Hetherington are their best two props. They couldn’t possibly release Napa, no matter how crap he is these days.
