What has Cole done wrong in first grade so far? Is a little injury prone but other than that he’s a good player.

I’m not across lower grades so I can’t speak to what he’s doing there, in first grade all I’m seeing is solid to weak at everything, not good at anything. Schneider looked more threatening in that one game I remember where they partnered each other and Schneider scored the one try. At this stage it just seems like he’s filling a jersey.

I’m assuming he’s our intended 6 next season, maybe I’m wrong. I feel like it’s a bit of arrogance, trusting in the system and bringing our own players through, when I feel we could clearly find an upgrade on the market.

I don’t think Cole has particularly done anything wrong and am not writing him off, but I think on our 6 for next season is the best place we could spend to improve. And if they don’t work out we could use a 14 anyway.

I'd take him at the right price. No guarantee of a spot in the 17, but could be interesting to see him back.

Depending on the what happens in the halves we might also have Cole as an option. Amituani has been solid all year in cup. At FB we Laurie(halves depending) and Iongi as back ups.

I like the way the squads heading, Fish is a blow and will require some guys stepping up even with Papi coming but overall i think we look ok. Patea blooded now and looks like a good prospect. I think Lipowicz will be pushing next year around origin time. Not seeing it with Hasset yet. Can tell he is class but hes just to small right now. Needs a good 5 kilos. Some good young forwards in the flegg side as well will no doubt get some cup time next year.

Yeah i am not pro Holmes thats for sure.. If Tago could be packaged up, it would be a maybe.

Are we talking about Holmes who went from Cronulla to nth qld he has been told he can look elsewhere may want to come back to Sydney dragons have way more money to spend
Or Cartwright who is at parra also been told to look elsewhere low cost but is a good nrl standard player

Holmes is not a marquee centre anymore despite what his contract and rep status suggests.

He should take a significant pay cut to stay in the NRL. Probably gets one more year on his juiced deal (Close a million in 2025).
