Sorry, Holmes, was incorporating a recent occurrence as an example of cane toad behaviour. Holmes is from Townsville where you can have a pretty good life on a $mil pa.

I'd have Carty back. Wouldn't cost much and has gone ok in an abject Parra team.

Holmes is still a good player but won't be value in a position we don't need to strengthen.

I think he's a gun. If we could get him for half of what he's worth then sure. Otherwise I'd rather stick with what we have.

I like Sorensen and Garner but I don't think either is a better player than Bryce, who I think would be a starter if he was here.

Valentine Holmes anyone?.?

On what kinda money though? Holmes is still good enough given what he's previously done that there's no way you'd get him for anything close cheap. Do you really want to pay 800-850K for a winger or a centre? Mal is a loyal guy and Holmes has been rocks and diamonds at centre this year. He's probably going to play wing for Australia, play well in that game when he plays there too. Just turned 29, isn't declining due to age for a couple of years he'll still be able to demand some good money.

He wouldn't even be good value for us at 400k
