The problem is, if he is being promised the first grade gig down there for the remainder of the year, you can’t really blame him if he wants to go. Potential to play finals for the storm and make a name for himself rather then playing reserve grade here for newtown. If we agreed to it, I’d hope there’d be conditions like if Kennedy was injured we can get him back, or we get a like for like player, like they did with addo carr when he wanted to go early.

Like to see the tigers or titans try and poach a Melbourne player for the last few games just for shits and giggles. But it's a stupid rule that should be put back to a lot earlier in the season anyway.
