This is the potential upside in a big setback for Dykes. He needs to get a lot stronger to succeed in the NRL. In Reggies, his front on defence was not at the right level and he was brushed off too easily too often. Not unexpected for a kid playing against men for the first time but still needs to be addressed.

Probably not....but at this point would still only be depth even with Dykes cooked.

I think so. The decision was made based on a number of weighted factors not in isolation of do we let miller walk.

- do we get a player we want?
- can we cover injuries?
- new player x value to us vs losing miller for free in 10 months

sure it probably makes us stress test the depth convo more but the club 100% factored in who would be next up after WK/Dykes should an injury occur.

you blokes think we stress about our roster… you should see what the people responsible for it do

No need to panic we finished 2nd in regular season last year.

Dykes would have been lucky to make the 17 to start, Fitz will have plenty of players ready to go, Dykes has played 2 FG games.
In Fitz we trust, this is our season no excuses re injuries.
