He still needs to learn how to do the kick returns better. Looks real weak with those. Not sure of his hands as well. But the he sure can run.
That always takes a couple of years a good comparison is Bostock at dolphins 2023 he would do a hit up get tackled lose some years.
2024 his hit ups he would finish 50/50.
I would expect him to this year but the line make yards..
Stonestreet this year I expect 50/50 on hit ups, what he has is speed and height, he can out jump people.
To'o at Panthers no height but he makes up with it different areas.
So with SS you would think we exploit his strengths go wide to him early he could cause damage, kick to him, that's what you do

The fact is Ronnie tested the market, which is his right, and the market told him he is worth no more than Cronulla is offering him. So now he is whinging that only halves and props get the big money.

Well played Sharks. In years gone by we would have thrown big money at him when the fact is no one else was chasing him.

The fact that a few of you guys dance around is that his defensive reads are consistently terrible. He bites in more than just about any winger in the comp and turns a two on two into a two on one all the time. That's not even mentioning his hands and showboating.

He lost us more games last year than any other player with his individual performances.

The fact that he is a good bloke or talks a lot, is inconsequential if he cant perform on the field.

Yes he does some great things in attack, but also some not so great things and they no where near make up for his defensive lapses.

The guy has been a first grade left winger for what, 5 years plus, and he still carries the ball in the wrong hand!!

There are a lot of players like him, WK, Toby who will be banking on WA and PNG in 27 or 28 coming into the comp to pick up a big fat superannuation contract. Some might not hang on until then though.

Can’t argue with any of your points.
Not a massive keeper and would hoping they are keeping their powder dry for the likes of Stonestreet.
I can understand the appeal though. Decent bloke with a heart of gold. His performance of badgering a Tigers fan at home last year was a sign of someone who should pull their head in.

Doubtful we'll be outlaying what big Tom is getting offered if you believe what's being written.
Wouldn’t be trying to match any huge offers for Tom. He’s a decent reliable benchie but that’s it. He’ll never be a regular First Grade starter.

There’s definitely better in the pipeline who have potential to be First Grade starting team talent. This is where you have to back the right young players and not overpay or get too tied up in average/good players. You want to identify the great/exceptional and leave money for their growth.

Tom's manager looks to trying to cash in with a big deal and a starting spot. He won't get that at Cronulla right now.

Personally, I would keep him over Toby and probably Uele at a similar price. Toby is a decent workhorse but OK plays that role better. Uele has the power game but needs to get fit and string some quality games together to justify the pay packet.

Tom's lateral defence needs work but he not at his peak yet. Toby and Uele arguably have peaked.

AFB
BHU
Kaufusi
Toby
Hazo
Tuku

Hazo's new deal is I would guess 2-4x whatever Tuku is on. The club has already signed Tuku on an extension. I would let Hazo walk and promote from within so we can spend the money on another position. We have a few young middles who are the better players in their age group who I would back to develop around AFB and co.

In saying that I think a Toby or BHU gets a Hunt tap at some point this season as both can talk to other clubs in November and on big coin. Even still I would let Hazleton go and lock up Kaufusi. I don't see a world where anyone could say Hazo is better than OK and if we can get BHU he is our 2nd best prop. The spot would be for 3rd best fighting it out with Toby.

I really love Mooney.

Toby is one I've been thinking about since Fitz's interview on the sharkcast.

He's a hundred gamer and I don't think he has the capacity to go to the next level nor is he ultra consistent.

We're paying him starter money but he isn't a starter at full strength. He's not someone I'd be in a hurry to re-sign.

I want Kafusi extended asap.
Expecting a massive year from him and need to get him done before he out of our price range.
I think Kaufusi is in for a huge year.

Adding Addin Fonua-Blake is really going to help his game.

They will compliment each other’s game really well.

Hazelton is going to be in for a shock when he goes elsewhere.
Buying players from teams who have great systems is dangerous.
At moment Panther, Storm best system followed by us then Roosters.
You leave those clubs and go somewhere where systems not in place you can struggle.
The next man up attitude and everyone buying in is huge.
I am wanting to see how Tigers go getting Luai, Hunt and May all from strong systems going to a place that is a disaster, I think that they will do it tough.
Luai might have more losses in one year then he did in last 3 years at Panthers
