Be good for the younger Uele, much potential, bit of English experience be great for him.

I actually think blokes should have a year or two away young and not do the retire there thing.

Spend a year in France at 23, not 33.

But they tend to all be mummies boys these days.

For example, Cleary, three premierships, played for NSW and Australia. Basically conquered the NRL.

Go to poorest club in the ESL, hang with your girl, comeback later.

Thanks for your efforts CT. Surplus to requirements, doesn’t really have a position and we need the space so this is good for all parties

Good luck to Tracey, but honestly where does he fit in to the 17.

For the positions he plays this is his competition:

Fullback (probably his best bet)
Taaffe
Crighton
Perham

Wing (2nd best option)
Add-Carr
Kiraz

Centre
Crighton
Burton
Kiraz
Xerri
Hutchison

Halves
Burton
Sexton
Taaffe
Hutchison
Salmon
Mann

Bench
Hutchison
Salmon
Mann

I can see him spending a lot of time in Dogs reggies.

Xerri won’t crack first imo and Josh Ado Carr still in the shop window.
Burton insisting he is a 5/8. Still not a clear path tho.
Billy Burns running around with the boys today also another min wage gain with reports Tracey was on $500k+ we are still banking away for something

Connor isn't a NRL level fullback
not an NRL level winger
Possibly an undersized centre but has shown issues in attack and defence especially when close to the line
Not a half

In saying that he is the perfect 18th man or bench player as he can fill in for all those positions and give 100%. Atkinson is the same as above but probably couldn't push as wide but if CT is your winger then things aren't going to end well anyway.

Getting an up and comer who is a specialist in a position we don't have a lot of depth in is a win/win for us. Lets see how they use the cap space on top. Also Burns is a 2nd tier contract so looks to me like we have 2 open roster spots.

Can’t fault any comments here in Tracey.
Surplus end of the day and really someone pays the price for all the moaning we do about lacking a big nut up front.
Not sure why he would go to the Dogs, I’d say he has more to offer at the Dragons, unless Gould has made promises that he is unlikely to keep.
Oddly enough the bloke in the swap deal was heralded and the 2nd coming when he signed a deal at dog town at the start of 2023.
Dogs are a rabble

Ison, Puru, Bradbury and Gabrael were all identified as high potential players. We haven't been active in this space for years. We have relied on the jnr base or journeymen who needed a shot (Toby, Sifa, Hunt etc). That excites me way more than a Lachlan Miller or CT especially due to us having really good kids already in the system(Stonestreet, Dykes etc) .

Now if we can develop 1, 2 of them and land a big fish. You can see the plan now for the retention and recruitment which is huge in this dysfunctional player market. Look at Gus over at the dogs for example or Flanno at the dragons.

100% Penrith have shown the way of staying at the top is a consistent stream of young players coming through, particularly outside backs, utility’s and bench forwards crack first grade on minimum wage then extend for 2-3 years on low average income and only keep a handful on big money and rinse and repeat the rest.
