I reckon Hazelton goes to reduced minutes once BHU gets his fitness back.
Esp if DA ends up on the bench I reckon TH becomes 18th

When is that likely to be?
We're 25 rounds in and BHU has been back for the better part of 3 months.
I've given up waiting on him to get up to speed.
He's dead wood.

Agreed Tommy will go back to reduced minutes next year, but I think that will be a result of Tuku getting conditioned up for longer stints.
BHU gets a run if/when Tuku is unavailable and that's it.

Tommy's had a tough year the poor fella.
He came into the season with ~20 games under his belt then through injuries to BHU, Toby, Royce, JC and Dale retiring it was "We need someone to lead our pack. Sorry mate, but you're it."
That's a big ask, and it's been showing for months now.

Agree if moving forward on it would be BHU, we have AFB coming the development in Tooks is there, Hazelton will be better next year.
JC will be back.
Kaufisi he will improve further he is 25 and has played more games then Uele.
I would keep Hunt or Uele as well.
Basically if any forward has to go I would say Uele

Well knowing the Tigers they will be paying overs for Royce.
Best of luck if you get a great deal, be handy if they had someone there who knows how to coach though

Just on Hazelton ... Did Oppositions figure out how to isolate and Tackle him ? Did he get cooked by having to play at level not used to for young fellow ? Will he recover and ever be the destructive x bomb he once was ? Will he be a force in Finals ? Did his Girlfriend Dump him ?

I reckon he should have every 3rd game off - a bit late in the season for that, but give him this week off…

Interesting that Tiges want Hunt on condition they get him for 2025.
And that now gives us leverage, we should make it hard for the Tigers, we don't want them as a threat.
We should demand of there best young players.
Just to annoy them say Galvin, use that as our starting point.
Then move to both of the Laulilii brothers or if rumours are right and Healey is going, we want Da Silva.
If the Tigers want Hunt early then they pay for him

Galvin would be nice and a good starting point, but unrealistic to get a deal done.

They
West Tigers have a very rich nursery out there. I'd be going for 2 or 3 of their best 17 year olds for Hunt.

That's the advantage of being a development club. We have others ready to take the place of those leaving and can replenish our lower grade stocks so that these 17 year olds are ready to go in 4 or 5 years when the next desperate club is chasing one of our 28 or 29 year old experienced player.

The young Newcastle prop, the Canterbury centre, etc that we got in previous swap deals will hopefully be coming through in the next few years having learnt the system, honed their craft in the lower grades and be ready to go straight away when they hit 1st grade, just like Iro was.

Its a good strategy.

We also have the added benefit of kids from places like that are much hungrier than kids who grew up in the Shire.

Nah reckon we say Rolls os off limits and offer them BHU instead. Hell I'd even drop him over to concord. Just tell the Tiges to get him fit for July. Best try celebrator in the NRL. FWIW I wouldn't begrudge Royce setting himself and his family up bearing in mind AFB is on the way and Tuks is waiting in the wings.

Agree with pretty much all of that.
The only issue is we extended BHU earlier this year and told Royce he’s ok to look around.

I think it’s a given he’ll move on, more’s the shame.

I’d love to know what’s happened with BHU - he was a blockbusting Royce Hunt type, but just has not replicated that for some time!

Maybe next year…?!?

Fully fit BHU is a much more complete player than a fully fit Hunt. BHU fitness is an issue sure I agree but the club thinks they can get him right.

Realistically there is a chance Hunt doesn't make our best 17 this year let alone when AFB gets here.
