The really big question is was the whole process a sham for the purpose of throwing off anti0tampering allegations.

Was this deal with Manly done when / before Lyon walked out in the first place?

Given that since the rumour first broke from Danny Weidler that we kept being assured that it would be finalised "within days" I have seen or heard nothing to change my belief that he was and is going to Manly.
