Since Gould cried poor to Gullop about cap pressure yadayadayada Penrith have signed Manu,Whare and Brown

Just a rumor at this stage but there is talk of Sandor Earl at the Warriors.

Well he's off contract. I can't see him being re-signed. Our starting backline should be: Coote. Uaisele. Jennings. Whare. Mansour. Also on contract Tighe, Simmons, Daniela. So can't have many more depth wingers. Given NYC & Windsor are going well a few of them will get contracts.

Off contract- Gordon gone ($200k), Earl, Seluini on minimum. I have heard Burns & Simmons might be released.

There is no way we were close in NRL. Cap went up $100k. Waterhouse & Petero went both were on $350k+ we only got minimum wage players in Newton, Galea, Ciraldo.

2nd tier is gone due to 5 players getting released. That's the issue

Not until 2014 & 2015. They are on normal pay next year. The cap should rise by then. Next year 10 or so come off contract. Burns, Kingston & Smith are on decent money. if we sign minimum wage players over them along with finally doing 3rd party deal we will be fine.

Well actually no.

We'd signed Brown before that.

Gordon wasn't re-signed and we'd offered him $300k.

That money was then available and we signed Whare and Manu thanks to that money and having the money of guys we'd released but still under our cap this year (Laurie & Y.Gordon).

And again...the cap pressure was about THIS year.

On top of the Gordon money that was available along with the Laurie ($150k), Y.Gordon ($75k) available there is your money there. Along with the fact we've got guys like Seluini who was signed for about $100k along with guys like Earl ($100k last year as Storm were chasing him)....and they wont likely be retained along with a few others like Junior Tia-Kilifi who'll likely be 2nd tier next year....there you go.
