I haven't heard anything of Mossop coming to Souths besides that article. He is under contract though. The only way I could see it happening is a swap with Asotasi who has been looking into Super League. Though from what I understand Maguire is happy with Asotasi, and plans to move him into the backrow or off the bench to lighten his workload which he sees as the reason for the consistent injuries. Asotasi will be back in rd 22, so we'll see how his saga continues

Burgess has missed Asotasi. At least when useless roy returns, he and mong sam can resume their contest to see who wins the hands like feet award at the leagues club each week. Oh I forgot, 50uff$ don't have one

From a VERY good source I know:

Tigers circling for Hayne from 2014. Ready to offer him 1.1 million a year.

Eels struggling to match that given Hopoate's wage kicks in from then and he and Sandow together account for close to 1.5 million a year.

Tigers in the box seat to sign Hayne in November.

You heard it here first.

If the Tigers can afford Hayne without getting rid of Farah or Benji it will blow my mind

So the tigers, who already have benji, farah, Blair, Anasta, Ellis, and heighington on the books, are also going to sign hayne and supposedly going to make a play for Pearce too?

Sir, your "VERY good source" is an idiot

Everyone know and then I browse this section of the forum and I notice the bullshit you post. Let's put $1000 on it scoop. I bet you he stays. If he leaves Parra and doesn't go to the Tigers but another club or code we both give $500 each to a League related charity. Deal or no deal?

Agree to give hand it to him in person and I'll cover your loss

Those bringing up Farah and Marshall. A big 3 of Farah/Marshall/Hayne wouldn't make much more per year than Hayne/Hopoate/Sandow thanks to the Eels recruiting decisions.

The thing affecting the Eels cap that isn't affecting anyone else is they already have an 800k+ player coming onto the books from 2014 that noone else has. Therefore naturally they have less room to move.

If the Tigers get their man in November like I think they will, they will have 18 months to clear room. Easily done.

BTW Farah will be 30 in 2014.

burt and hindmarsh are going they have more than enough to cover it.
Burt and Hindmarsh have a good chunk of their salary not counting against the cap because of long service. Them retiring doesn't do as much as you'd think for their cap space.

Eels signed Hopoate for 800k?

Hahahaha, wow how did I miss that? Is Kearney insane?
$800,000 a season

To be fair, if they think Sandow is worth 550k, Hopoate is easily worth 800k if he doesn't decline from his break.

But given that addition to their books in 2014, plus Sandow, it is going to be very hard to match the offers of other teams with better managed caps.

Wouldn't that make him the highest paid player in the competition?

Absolutely ridiculous for a player who has played for one year, and then taken two years off
