Prefer a gun halfback over a fast winger or centre thanks.

So like with most of our breaks and half chances this year they'll go wasted because we'll just keep getting run down, or our support players wont get the ball because the defense will be all over them.

We need a good Halfback, simple. Good Halfback and good Hooker (McCullough has played very well this year) and everything else pretty much falls into place.

I reckon with our young side, and Thurston as our Halfback, we have a good chance of going very far. Maybe even give Thurston a premiership before he retires in a few years.

Every man and his dog knows that premiership Thurston has is deservedly buried in size 6 font on the bottom of his cv.

Worlds apart winning a premiership as a starting half with a good 5 or 6 years of carrying the tag as the games best player/half on your shoulders and winning a premiership as a bench utility in the incredible dogs side of 2004. Bulldogs would have won that comp carrying Bunniesman on the bench as utility.

Thurston needs a premiership in his twilight to cement his legacy.

Thank you. It's amazing when someone intelligent can actually read someone elses post and extrapolate a meaning from it, then articulate it into words without the other person having to explain the whole thing to them.

Can we keep a tally this time of which clubs thurston is signing with. Last time I think it got up around the 12 mark, then rugby union and uk super league on top of that.

Goodwin rumour makes sense, Kiwi, kicks goals, and we need a winger with a bit of experience. As long as we dont pay overs he'd be ok.

I'd welcome that. As said, not the greatest in the world but hopefully would come reasonably cheap as a guy on the outer NRL-wise, a goal kicker and a reasonably experienced head.

Sandor Earl is not on the Bulldogs radar in any way, shape or form.

Stop making things up Frances.
