Williams would be a good buy, I rate him, coming along nicely, He was very good in the semis last season. Raiders wont be able to keep all of these halves unfortunately.

Lose Sam Williams and keep Josh McCrone. Now that is a LOL moment. A bit like Smithy's decision to keep Scott Dureau over Luke Walsh.

Heard Chris McQueen re-signed with Souths for a further two years keeping him in Redfern until the end of 2015.

Great news if true, very underrated player.

Totally agree but can just see it happening. I think Mcrone is signed til end of 2014 but Williams until the end of this year, Id rather Williams stay.

Papalii's situation will play it self out first, then id imagine Sam Williams will be the next priority
especially if he starts well

You know what. I want then to keep Papalii because then those 3 will slip through their fingers because they were puttin in more effort into one player than them.

Then it would be even better in round 12 Papalii says nope off to parra with thomo. Haha

then you'd wake up.

Of the three, only Williams would be worth picking up IMO. Never understood why Croker and Thompson are rated so highly. Conversely, I've never understood why Fensom isn't rated more highly. Maybe the "respected judges" out there just guess when it comes to Raiders players because they've never shown on FTA.

If Fensom was off contract this year, Papalii wouldnt be our #1 priority, of that you can be sure. Fensom is our best forward by some margin. Papalii and Shillo are probably the next 2 and Joel Thompson is one of those nice pieces, but ultimately he is much easier to replace than Fensom or Papalii. Of course we'd much rather keep him but it may not be possible

Croker is another player we'd like to keep but with Branko and Edrick Lee, Robinson, Earl and Croker fighting it out in the next few years for 3 spots (Dugan, Wighton and Fergo are certs for me), if he left, it would be disappointing but not a squad killer

I think there is still a good chance we keep Papalii, Thompson, Williams and Croker. Berrigan, White, the Pickers and Buttriss will have to make way but so be it.

Totally agree. Would take Fensom in a heart beat.

The other three do not overly impress. Williams and Croker are attrocious defenders. Croker can be a bloody good centre at times plus kicks goals. However, he can be bloody awful too.

I'm yet to see why there is such a wrap on Williams. Maybe this will be a year where he gets a full season in first grade and fulfills the potential many speak about.

Thompson, at times, hardly touched the ball last year when playing backrow.

Williams was very good in his 2nd stint last year and played a big part in our run into the finals. His performance against the Sharks in the semi final was outstanding.

Because Luke Walsh is currently a superstar halfback and Dureau is rotting in reserve grade... oh wait, no, he's flourishing under a half decent coach.
