Souths top 17 will be unaffected but there is some decent quality lost there for covering injury/suspension/Origin.

Souths used 27 players last year and have lost, according to zero tackle, the following players:

Asotasi
Crocker
Everingham
Farrell
Hunt
King
Peats
Starling
Lowe
Plus they have lost another 3 lower graders

The only signings they have had are an U20's player from the Cowboys, a Qld Cup player and Joel Reddy who is quite simply shit. Their depth will be a massive problem next year at this stage

If we'd had a huge amount of injuries last year I don't see how any of those players would have made a difference. Everingham, King, Hunt all had diabolical games when called up. Starling, Crocker and Asotasi are plodders

Lowe and Peats have value due to their great defence, but their inability to bend the line means they are just depth players.

Maguire has done a clean out of players who aren't in any position to push for legitimate first grade spots.

I don't mind Locke, but why not keep Robinson at fullback? He did enough to suggest that he could play there permanently. Either way, I hope we do release Milford, tired of this whole thing.
