''He's by far and away one of our best forwards and he plays accordingly. He sets examples on and off the field. Adam, Benji [Marshall], Keith [Galloway] and Woodsy [Aaron Woods] are the fabric of the club.''

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

He's a comedian, that Mick Potter.

Lokos biggest problem is he doesn't run onto the ball if Ricky got him hitting the ball at speed God knows what he would become.

He doesn't hit the ball at speed because he is surrounded by defenders long before he gets the ball. They know how dangerous he is.

What he needs is the blokes on his inside to dummy and go a few times (like Mullaney did last night). That will stop all the inside defenders rushing out at him.

Actually, playing devils advocate isn't so bad - although it gets tiresome after a while. What gets me is someone who pretends (not assumes, but pretends) that the 'stupid' majority are thinking along a particular line and then argues against that, using the excuse that he's trying to balance the equation by presenting the other side of things, or trying to educate people who have clearly got very simplistic views on things. It's childish, and demeaning and actually quite embarrassing really. Really spoils this forum I reckon. Used to spoil it for me so I stopped posting for a while. I found I enjoyed the football a whole lot more. Might do it again soon.
Agree.

I put you on ignore once Poupou, but it was too hard to get pissed off at you when I couldn't see what you were posting.

Poor old bart figured that out a long time ago. But he keeps pretending, bless him. Even after being caught out.

:lol::lol::lol:

Don't worry Pou, I haven't put you on ignore. I love the crazy stuff you say here. Idiots take it all to seriously. It's football people, not the NWO. Get a grip!

There's our Erick Grothe Junior running the ball back from deep within our half. If this was Ricky's plan for the next few years, it would do Loko a lot of good to take 3 to 5 kilos off. Wonder how his knees would handle jumping for high balls regularly, all those awkward positions the knees get into as wingers get crunched after coming down with or without the ball. Might be best for Loko to move into the backrow ASAP. At a retreating defense, Loko running off one pass either side of the ruck at the 7, 6 & 9 could provide many a dividend.

Well, you could be right. As long as he fulfils his potential, I don't mind where he plays; but I would like to see how he goes on the wing. On the other hand, if Sandow and Norman (in particular) can get him earlier quality ball next year, he might just be a great centre. Then we'd have the problem of fitting Hoppoate and Morgan in somewhere, though.

Because in my opinion you're all merkins.

I just can't help myself.

:lol: I mainly just read and rarely offer opinion but this cracks me up. I don't have you on ignore and I enjoy reading everyone's opinion and their ability, or lack of it, to back that opinion.

Apparently along with Warriors we are after Frank Paul Nuuasala.
I think mick Potter is in denial Tigers are a rabble just as much as we are. Blair is looking for a release isn't he?

I wonder if we'd be any chance whatsoever of signing Israel Folau?
Can you imagine:
1. Hayne
2. Loko
3. Folau
4. Hoppoate
5. Morgan
6. Norman
7. Sandow

Or any number of variations on that.

I think the door is shut on Folau, mainly because he's a Dog...

I don't think Loko would be a good winger.
He doesn't have a lot of speed and who knows how he would handle the high ball.
What we need is an actual winger - a proper one - not a centre that we move there.
Wing is a pretty specialised position these days. We shouldn't be putting anyone there who is not accustomed to the role.

This is a very, very good point. Both Toutai and Williame cop a lot of criticism, but people need to remember that they're both natural centres.

He's good at running straight lines and doesn't mind the collision either and he's developing an offload at the line or through the line. Has the promising qualities (at this time) of a slightly milder version of SBW. Think he has a better long-term future in the backrow being developed along the same lines as SBW. With no more major injury set backs, in the backrow he'll play for NSW & Australia in a few years. Loko will be a much better more consistent player than Tony Williams and he can play for 80 minutes.

SBW could run into a gap from day 1. In fact he ran into plenty of gaps in our defence on his debut!
