Dally M positional awards? You have to be kidding mate. Some of the awards have zero credibility. For example 2013, the Dally M second rower of the year was Boyd Cordner. Now Boyd is a decent player, but that year comparing his form to that of SBW and saying Cordner was better? All Roosters fans laughed when it was announced, even Boyd was embarrassed by it as even he knew he was light years behind SWB who should have gotten the award ahead of him.

That's a brilliant point which does nothing to contribute or dissuade anyone from the idea that over the last 3 years Joey LEilua is in the top 3 centres in the game- probably #2- maybe even #1 if you want a guy who plays consistently.

Yeah like Alex Johnston and the Jennings bro at Souths just had to jog over the line on the end of GI and scored like 100 tries untouched. Skillset required - catch and run 15m.

I think Johnston is a pretty good winger and a decent backup fullback. Jennings is a complete waste of space

Reports of a bit of a falling out between Ryan Matterson and Michael Maguire may see Matterson leaving the Tigers at year's end. Bulldogs, Knights and Eels reportedly circling.

Source: https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/09/12/matterson-could-be-leaving-tigers-as-rivals-circle/

Just saw on fox that he’s been granted a release and the reporter said Titans are a likely destination because he was coached by Holbrook at u20s. I think that’s the only reason for the link.

He’s been granted permission to negotiate with other clubs, however a departure seems imminent

We should be chasing a good prop. Sia has one season left at most, Horse looks the goods but is still developing and Lui is a plodder. Papa cant do it all himself.

100 percent this

Im not keen on getting rid of Beej. He is being slept on in this thread he is a weapon even if hes a dumdum.

But id accept it for a gun prop because its where we are lacking.

Other than the Roosters pair, the games not exactly flush with shit hot centres. Joey's easily in the top 3 convo.

He outright deserved that 2016 dally m as well. Was a beast that year and easily the best centre in the world.

I'd take him over both the Roosters pair too.

So consistency is that attribute that elevates BJ to #1?
