Approximately 3.5 Mill of players have left at the end of 2024.

JWH - 600k
Manu - 750k
Keary - 800k
Suaalii - 750k
Sitili - 600k
JWH on 600K ? lols Golden Boot Manu only 750? Ok

Please keep going though, 2023 cap = 12.1 - 3.5 = 8.6 mill remaining in the cap.

Tedesco - 1.1 = 7.5 mill cap remaining for 24 players = 310,000 average remaining per player ( 428,000 K is the average NRL salary )

How about
Smith? - 800 K = 6.9 mill remaining
Crichton? 800 K = 6.1 mill remaining
Young? 700 K = 5.4 mill remaining

21 players remaining for the 5.4 million cap (257,000 average) - players remaining include Leniu , Radley, Collins, May,

All the rest must just be turning way the other offers and doing for pride god bless em.

A half has become available, 20 games of Origin, 15 games for Australia, has single handedly won the Dragons games before, almost 350 first grade games but not seeming to be slowing down or becoming more injury prone, 4 time Origin winner, a World Cup winner. Why not sign him? Because he bottled a grand final 10 years ago and because he lost by a point to a superior team without his halves partner back in 2018? Come onnnn.

At the end of the day a halves combination of Ben Hunt and Sam Walker could win a comp and could trouble Penrith or the Storm. Chad Townsend and Sam Walker or Sandon Smith and Sam Walker is at best going to run 5th or 6th. Ben Hunt needs to be a high priority signing for the Roosters preferably until the end of the 2026 season.

Hunt and Walker seem like fairly similar players to me. Both run first with good short kicking games. Not sure how that match up would work. Youll think Im joking but they should look at Jayden Sullivan, even if they just ask for him for a year loan. Theres talent there, would probably get the best out of him in the Roosters system.

Huh? Long serving player allowance?
Why the fudge does Spencer Leniu get a long serving player allowance, he has played with you guys for one year, and missed the first 8 weeks for a racial slur, then there's Brandon Smith, who's been a long serving Melbourne Storm player, been at the rosters for 2 seasons, Dom Young too FFs are you taking the piss?

Teddy, Angus and Keary came from Wests and Souffs, not sure that long service counts there

He's not saying that although he hasn't put it in the best format.

He's saying long server playing allowance is the answer to JWH wage.

Other than JWH, who has now left, you don't have any players that have been there to get a long service allowance... joey manu was probably the closest

I didn't say they were just making a statement that there is such an allowance

2024 cap was $ 11,250.00 plus motor vehicle allowance 100k and Long Serving/developed player allowance 300,000 - total cap is $11.650.000

Veteran and Developed Player Allowance

Veteran and Developed Player Allowance for eligible players who were either developed by the club prior to becoming NRL players and/or have been a Top 30 player for at least 8 years at the club or have been a Top 30 player for at least 10 years across the game.

Roosters players eligible for this allowance in 2024 were JHW/Keary/Tupou/Tedesco and Jennings.

Tedecso (2012) , Radley(2017) , Tupou(2013) , Townsend (2011) Nat Butcher (2017) , Collins (2017) - Crichton will be eligible in 2026 ( 2016)

I meant now, in 2025, and also half the original list you mentioned didn't fit that criteria, with most their first years were actually rookies outside the top30, getting a handful of games, so you can scratch that off the list, and I'm still right about those player's you threw up there like Leniu, B.Smith or Young, why make shit up?
Trying to dance around the salary cap when you know they've thrown it out decades ago, overspending of the newest shiney prospect
You cant go claiming a guy like Brandon Smith, when he has only played 7 seasons of NRL and then the bulk of that at the Storm

I should have put the long serving at the end - but it does show the Roosters are above board as far as the cap goes
