There was a report that Brodie Jones has been told he can leave so maybe that’s it?Wonder who is getting pushed out to make room.
Most sites have us listed with a full 30 man roster for the yearThere was a report that Brodie Jones has been told he can leave so maybe that’s it?
Have we actually filled our top 30 or did we have a roster spot available?
The Telegraph?I think the Liam knight rumor started from a bogus site that post nothing but ai written articles
I actually laughed out loud at this. The Telegraph?
Assuming you’re not being sarcastic on this one (although you very well might be) Brodie Jones is a below average NRL player. Liam Knight is at least a bigger body and would add a bit of muscle to the pack, even if he’s no world beater. Get him on for a couple of 15 minute stints either side of half time and tell him to rip and tear. Jones does the effort stuff well I’ll give him that, but he’s not an imposing figure on the field and sort of does what a lot of guys in our forward pack already do, a few fairly low impact runs and some tackling. If we can replace him with a big unit who can at least put out a few runs that help us get up field then I think it’s a good trade imo.Has he ever been above average? Not worth a Brodie Jones trade.
Barny + another 2 rep quality forwards and I reckon ya right - would love to see a running threat out of dummy halfWe need to move heaven and earth to get Barney back here. Not to be dramatic but a forward leading middle would almost put us into a premiership window.
Whilst I like your optimism I think if we manage to land Barney we won’t have enough in the cap for 2 more rep quality middle forwards. We can probably get Barnett + a couple of solid guys but I don’t see a situation where our pack is stacked full of rep players unless somehow we manage to get third party deals that rival the Roosters/Broncos etc which seems unlikely.Barny + another 2 rep quality forwards and I reckon ya right - would love to see a running threat out of dummy half
We wont win a Premiership until the front office is elite and competing on another level- 3rd parties should be a solid ambition. Other than that we need to develop our own talent that wants to stay for less.Whilst I like your optimism I think if we manage to land Barney we won’t have enough in the cap for 2 more rep quality middle forwards. The best bet is to probably grab a couple of guys who look like they’re ready for the step up but are stuck behind established players at other clubs. Basically like what we’ve done with Mooney.
I was very serious. He might be bigger but he's still pretty terrible.
