Yeah I don't think SKD is actually anywhere near the top of our list but the list is starting to shrink and the pool of potential recruits is drying up. SKD could be plan B in case Gags is asking for too much, but I really want Gags to stay so hopefully not necessary.

I think we can basically rule out getting an elite half at this stage. Cronk and Johnson are the only two left and I don't see either of them coming here. Probably a better shot if we get a couple of young halves who want to solidify a spot in first grade and hope that they can kick on. Connor Watson from Roosters and Nu Brown from Sharks spring to mind.

Still some decent forwards out there though so hopefully we can land a few and get rolling forward up the middle again.

Seems like the plan is to get players who aren't off-contract but squeezed out. Unfortunately halves don't usually get that treatment.

Frawley may actually have a home now at the Dogs now that Reynolds has left. Mbye to hooker, halves Frawley-Foran.

Tyrone sounds about right but no dominant half unfortunately. Unless a dominant half at a Sydney club is squeezed out for Cronk but I can't see who that would be.

He's been playing hooker when Frawley comes on the last few weeks. Going OK.

If Hayne signs with the eels who gets squeezed out there? Considering they just signed Moses and with their cap predicament last season I'd imagaine they would still be running near on their limit. Surely there will be a few players from parra getting offloaded.

Surely they don't get rid of Norman, but if they did, he is a no brainer to mke an offer.

Do they get rid of gutherson? I'd take him for sure.

Their forwards aren't the best, but are better than ours.

Elgeys form has been down this. He seems to be struggling to get back to his best after a season out through injury.

Kane Elgey is just out of form, he's shown plenty of talent prior to this year. Plenty of good players who have had form lapses from time to time. If he wanted out of the titans he'd be a walk up start at half or 5/8 in our team.

IMO we did target some of the very best options that were available - Scott, Finucane and Bird - and missed. Glad to get Ponga.

I haven't really heard many other names that I believe are as good as quality as the above. Not sure how much Josh Reynolds has signed for with the Tigers but if it's much more than Brooks has signed on for then it is massive overs.

Brown and Mooney aimed for the very best at least. I'm a bit of a fan of Mac's philosophy now the quality has signed elsewhere and have been saying as much. It's hard to tell what Brown and Mooney are doing behind the scenes though, maybe we'll be surprised soon enough with a couple decent signings?
