Graham just hasn't been the same player he was a few years back. No knock on the bloke but he's getting on in years and now has the niggling injuries. He aint cheap either.

Not sure what else is out there.

Earlier this year I would gladly have paid James Graham $1m per season to come here but the injuries are a concern. Sort of the same thing with what happened with Matt Scott earlier this year as well.

Where to from here I'm not sure, there aren't many hard nosed experienced front rowers out there now who we would have a real chance at getting. I like that we're getting a few talented young guys but getting an old bull to inspire them on the field would be nice and would speed up the development of our forward pack dramatically.

If you are taking an injury flyer on one, it is Scott over Graham.

There are a few really good bench props around - hell, the Broncos have three. Most young though.

If I was throwing money at potential it would be Pangai Jr. Not sure he ever wants to come home though.

Please NO....... ESL is reserve grade standard very few good ones come out, let's see what we can get locally

English props do well over here, there would be a lot over there ATM who would succeed here. We would be stupid not to look over there, if we aren't looking, someone else will bring over the next Morley, Ellis, burgess or graham. To outright refuse to look at players over there on the assumption that they are all reserve grade standard is extremely poor recruiting.

There was an article a few months back where Brown mentioned that the club had been looking over in England, but all good players were under contract and their transfer fees made an early release pretty much impossible.

Our only chance would be to shop around a contracted play like Trent who might be happy to head over, but that would only ever happen if we somehow managed to pick up Maloney.

If Wardle doesn't want to be here he won't get any better, not sure if all signings work out that he will be a regular in reserve grade, those positions will go to Fitz, Stone, Yates etc

So an article in the SMH today says the RLPA and NRL are very close to settling at a 9.2 million cap. Apparently there are 6 clubs that will need to shed players, obviously Canterbury being one of them.

Brown and Mooney have timed their run perfectly if that is true.
