TBF, Moga has been marked up by Capewell and he's pretty shit

In saying that, it's been pretty to watch. Having a centre with size and footwork will be great next year

Blair had been very good too actually. I don't think he's a stats kind of player. If you just look at his 80 metres and 20 tackles you think "oh he's lazy and ineffective", but in reality he's all over the place.

Tonight he's been playing a lot of first receiver, playing that role like Graham and throwing some nice passes. He pressures the kickers well, he has some late offloads that have led directly to mini breaks.

It's a busy performance without being pure metre eating, and with the way the Saifitis are going perhaps metre eating is not what we need in another middle forward.

I'm so excited about next year now, Moga gave the sharks a bath tonight down that left edge, and Ponga and Watson could be anything.

Seriously our spine could be very very good in a few years time.

Loved Browns comments in post Match presser, stating that just because there are quality players coming next year the team can't just expect its naturally going to click right away. They still have to work very hard to make it work the way everyone is expecting.

Was a great point and something that is fans will have to understand. With so many coming in next year the combos will have to take time to work.

Brilliant work by the team tonight though, anyone criticizing Brown as a coach can surely see what an astounding job he and his team have done.

Last remaining question mark for me is game management. Can Lamb do it all on his own, all the time? What happens if Lamb is injured mid game and someone has to step up and lead / kick?

Super excited about our spine's potential, just interested to see who out of Ponga, Watson and Levi also starts to get more involved in the game management side of things to support Lamb.

Can't agree more with Brown's comments here.logic would suggest a large number of upgrades lifts the win column but it will take time to gel.

I'm sure the knives will be out but we trust in Brown and should applaud how he has brought a new generation of young Knights through in pretty quick time.

Over to you Michael Hagan.

That's a fair call, Lamb seems to be the only one of those four with a genuine kicking game. That being said I feel like Brown might opt to spread the duties a bit, we've seen our left edge do a lot of kicking this year, especially kicking along the ground into touch or kicking into the in-goal. If Brown decides to continue that tactic then it's not so bad. It's definitely worrying that if Lamb went off during a game though who would take up the long kicking duties? Hopefully Watson, Ponga and Levi develop a bit more in that area and we will have a bit of cover if need be.

Since the switch to the bench for Levi, he has been one of the most improved plaayers over the short time this change has been used and he is really playing like a seasoned dummy half, really upping the tempo when necessary and creating doubt in the defensive line. This is also giving Brock more time when he has the ball in hand.

He's not in the same league yet but he really looks like he has taken a page out of Cam Smith''s repertoire for controlling the tempo from the ruck...and I know that is also a credit to the work the midle forwards are bending the Advantage line but he is really instrumental in setting that platform by drawing the markers before offloading.

Klemmer is 23 my man, and it would be amazing if we could get him, we would go from one of the worst to best prop rotations in the space of 12 months.

Good to hear one of the commentators tonight mention Lachie Fitzgibbon is close to agreeing to terms with the club. He's been a real surprise packet this year

I remember watching Fitzgibbon in Holden cup and one thing I really liked about him was he wasn't just one of those big dumb backrowers who'd try to run over the smallest bloke in the opposition, he actually ran really good lines and he always seemed to be quite awkward to tackle as his running motion isn't just upright, he'd often twist and turn and shrug

Yeah Fitzgibbon was a very good player in the 20s. Some people wrote him off quickly but he was a young forward coming into a team always on the back foot. I'm happy to see him doing well.

He's always been very good at post contact metres, he seems awkward to tackle. Hopefully he keeps improving because imo he's first grade standard if he becomes more consistent.
