In the article in the Newcastle Herald today, Jacob says he told his manager he didn't even want to hear what kind of figures other clubs were offering. Bulldogs and Dragons are mentioned as clubs that were interested and likely would have offered much more than what the Knights did.

2 year deal would suggest that it's not crazy money and he's probably backing himself to earn a bigger contract down the line

And rightly so.

He needed to play every game for the rest of the year just to make a 60% playing rate for the Knights.

This injury will ensure he has missed half the available games this contract. Certainly something to take into consideration......essentially it means the Knights pay double money for Watson........

Signing players like Watson is cap suicide.
