Rumoured Targets 3

I dont see Roberts being a player to help deliver a Premiership and he certainly wouldnt be on the roster of a serious contender for one.

We've just had over a decade of average and need to look beyond players like Roberts.

I'm for bringing in someone with class to the roster or youth with class ready and waiting to be untapped.

Didn't the player poll last year have the Knights as one of the most desirable clubs to play for?

Surely we can attract better than Roberts.

Tyrone Roberts would be a step in the wrong direction imo. He’s a good runner and has a decent short kicking game but he’s pretty inconsistent so if we wanted that we might as well stick with Lino, who is at least a classy goal kicker.

If we don’t end up signing anyone else I would be in favour of Crossland getting a proper crack at 5/8 next year. If he’s as good as everyone says he is then he’ll make the spot his own. If not then AOB will need to keep his eyes open for someone becoming available at a later stage.

Have to agree with above, Lino is better all round than Tyrone, younger, fitter, v/good kicker. Unless we can get better than Lino we shouldn’t be interested.

Would be an upgrade.... But probably not big enough of an upgrade

Rumour is from Danny Weidler......... So just assume it's false by default

I’d take Moses but on a reduced deal to what he is on. Also talk Flanagan unlikely to be re-signed by Roosters. What do you think the chances are Uncle Nick tries to bring Junior back to the Roosters?

They couldn't win with Pearce and Keary when Pearce was in his prime, I'm pretty sure they'd know that trying to win with an over the hill Pearce would be a very tough task, price tag would also be an issue, Flangan would be on $250k tops, Pearce wouldn't get out of bed for $250k

Highlights the brutal reality that we could definitely be spending the cap better if we release Pearce and go in another direction.

For Pearce's coin we could get 2 young halves with a future to guide the side and arguably get better immediate results.

Let's see if our recruitment dept has any balls.

At even a whisper of this being true McKinnon should be like a rat up a drain pipe on this one. Another year of first grade next to Pearce and then he has the keys to the Ferrari.

The fallout from the Roosters’ failure to secure a historic premiership three-peat has begun – with Canterbury emerging as the possible home for under-fire halfback Kyle Flanagan next season.
Fox Sports has learned incoming Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett is keen to secure Flanagan’s services as he prepares to lift the Belmore club away from the bottom of the NRL ladder.

Laurie Daley : “The Roosters are a team that want to win.”

Also, Laurie Daley : “I reckon they’ll bring Mitchell Pearce back!”

I can’t, I can’t even.....

What the hell is wrong with him?

They've got Flanagan still on the books, Lachlan Lam off contract but hasn't signed elsewhere yet and Sam Walker has been talked about as the next big thing for years now, why on earth would they bring back a below average 32-33 year old Mitch Pearce who's got a massively inflated market value.

Its interesting to see the difference in attitude between the knights and roosters. They have a halfback who tbh didnt have that bad of a season yet cause they didnt win it this year they are looking to offload. We have a halfback who has played terribly all year and probably was the cause of alot of our losses this year yet we are looking to extend him
