- Knights have signed 19-year old centre/five-eighth Krystian Mapapalangi from Manly's SG Ball team. Apparently rated as one of the best players in the comp and there's belief he will be ready for first grade next year. He'll join the Knights once the SG Ball season finishes in a few weeks and play NSW Cup here.

Apparently rated as one of the best players in the comp and there's belief he will be ready for first grade next year. He'll join the Knights once the SG Ball season finishes in a few weeks and play NSW Cup here.

Is he coming to play in the centres or groomed for a halves role?

There's a Daily Telegraph article claiming he's the most talented centre to ever come through Holy Cross College, and a comment from some bloke on Manly's forum; "Great 5/8, very smart and super aggressive and reminds me very much of Jerome Leuilai from Penrith."

Solid praise. Although I’ve stopped taking on board any praise heaped on SG Ball talent. No one is going to say yeah he’s the next Peter Hiku.

Yeah I have a feeling he may make the move this season given he has been dropped and we desperately need another half given Pearce will be out for a while.
