Yep. He got made to look very amateur yesterday.
thisI think it's past the point that he needs to start showing value and commitment on and off the field. Footy just seems like a job to him.
crazy coin. That's for players in and around the spine. We probably could afford him but im not sure how id feel paying 700-800k for a rookie backrower
The thing with Ponga is he's never felt secure here. He's very vague and non-committal off the field and frankly, on the field too. I still don't think we're getting value for money out of him. It's still just big money for speculation over "what ifs" and "potential". I think it's past the point that he needs to start showing value and commitment on and off the field. Footy just seems like a job to him.
Honestly, Ponga has won nothing and proven nothing. He's not on the level of his peers with similar salaries. At this point I wouldn't be that upset if he left, only disappointed that he never lived up to his massive potential.
It's just such different times now as well I think. He's probably made solid coin outside of footy so why would it be his sole focus and passion?this
I listened to a Baz Toohey podcast where Watson mentioned Kayln had taught him to handle a loss better. To paraphrase - "It's only a job" etc .
In all my time reading about any champion in any sport I can never recall that attitude. I do wonder if Ponga will ever reach his potential.
Joey "the 8th" used to go down the park in between practice sessions , Ponga makes his podcast and takes photos.
His side gigs will be worthless without a footy career propping them up.It's just such different times now as well I think. He's probably made solid coin outside of footy so why would it be his sole focus and passion?
Agreed, if his footy came to a sudden end.His side gigs will be worthless without a footy career propping them up.
Wow...I didn't know he openly admits that. Not the mark of a Champion that's for sure.this

We can hope Joey teaches Kalyn to find his inner rage when it is justified.I regularly attended games during the golden years with Joey at the helm. Sometimes Joey would be needed to pull off a miracle play in order to get us a win, but it didn't always work out.
The thing I remember the most about those years is that Joey would punch the ground when things didn't go his way, and he wouldn't hesitate to spray his teammates if they didn't do their job.
I don't see any of that from Kalyn.

I'll give him my kids for a weekend - that'll give him enough ammo for the rest of the seasonI'd be very surprised if Kalyn had inner rage to find.
