Rumoured Targets 3

Close to the minimum I’d imagine.
That's 120K . If so offering him 500K is a huge leap, and you'd think enough to get his signature. I was thinking he'd be on more than that, and it would take a bit more to get him to Newy.

Definitely. At the same time though I’d have no issues throwing a large potential type contract at the likes of Lachie Galvin who’s younger, same with Cleary at a younger age. Not saying Pezet won’t make it, but I’m not seeing him as a sure enough prospect that we need to be overpaying him based on potential either. Luckily we have POS on board who’s probably the best in the game at knowing whether a young player will crack on or not and how much we should offer to try and sign him.

Exactly why I mentioned earlier - to have a young fella like Pezet at half you'd need to provide all the support and tools possible for him to succeed.

Galvin this year was playing outside experienced campaigner Sezer , and will have Luai next year.

Cleary was playing alongside Maloney in his early years.

Walker - Keary, Mam -Reynolds etc

Brailey, Hastings out, 2 replacements in. Looks like a reasonably solid squad, although quite a few names I don’t recognise yet.

We may not necessarily see a lot of action for 2025 anyway given we’re relying on getting rid of a few contracts to free up cap space. We know the Hastings contract is in its last year, is that the same for Brailey?

I would think we’re going to be more active for 2026 anyway.

Hastings, Brailey, Elliot, Hetherington, KPP are the main contracts that end 2025.

About 3 million in cap

I don't think there's been barely any signing news, for any team? I guess the internationals still going plays a part.

It is 3 business days after November 1. There’s probably a whole heap of offers being put out across the league but it’s not like players are going to be signing anything right away.

I don’t think Storm are going to keep him. He is not going to take less money on the possibility of the halfback ahead of him leaving. He will be able to make a fair bit of coin now Walker is under lock and keyl and that is where we need to be disciplined in our dealings if it gets that far.

What do they mean "open to letting him go"? He's not theirs in 2026 as it stands right now to begin with, lol.
I take it that the Storm are open to a loan deal in 2026 should he re-sign and Hughes is still playing on.

There were rumors some time ago that Hughes was keen to go back to QLD , maybe it's possible he does so in end of his contract in 2026.
