Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but was just reading about the Warriors offering Brown a big contract before he'd even played a game of first grade, and whose name should pop up...
According to the report, the deal was valued at $2.69 million, with an additional $57,651 for relocation costs. If Brown had accepted the deal, it would have put the teenager on the richest contract ever for a player yet to play first grade.
However, the lucrative deal orchestrated by talent scout Peter O’Sullivan could also be deemed as a breach of the NRL’s anti-tampering rules. Clubs can only begin talks with players from rival clubs on November 1, the year before their contract expires.
