I seem to remember 2004 was a year Joey was injured a lot? We missed the 8 but had a few spirited wins without him. I remember the game at Suncorp against the Broncos where nobody gave us a chance and we won by that wonky Kurt Gidley field goal.

Did his ACL in Round 3 after we beat the defending premier Panthers in Penrith and the Storm in Melbourne.
It was BK, Tahu, Robbie O and Parsons last year for us. I reckon we could’ve won the comp if Joey stayed fit that year.

That was the return of the Broncos to Lang park after it had been refurbished. Was delicious to win that game when it was their first game back!

Pretty sure that was the first time we ever wore a 'heritage' kit too, reflecting on our original 1988-1996 kit. Jersey, shorts, and socks too. Brisbane might've also worn a 1988-inspired kit that day too?
