Disappointing to miss out on another target but not surprising. Never saw him leaving Sydney, and Eels safe choice for him with us, Manly and Cowboys all having coaches up in the air. I heard the deal with Eels was basically done before he even met with us.

Still hope we keep Crossland at 13 which tbh I was more excited about than actually signing De Silva because I’m happy we’ve worked out he’s not a natural 9. If we move him back to 9 out of necessity it will be more disappointing.

With our season done though I think we need to bite the bullet and sacrifice a bench forward to have Arthur in the 14 getting experience. By the end of the year you’d want him starting.

Having a breakout year, very happy for him. He was always injured before he got to us and even after he left. Finally getting some games under his belt. Hope he does well!!

Bryan showed a lot of heart on debut but he’s not it. He’s an undersized prop with low meterage, no offload and isn’t even a good prop at nsw cup level to be quite honest.

Lachlan Crouch is arriving this week & could help with that. Pretty big and very solid lad with a good motor. Don't think it would be crazy to suggest he may come straight into the 17 and play 30 minutes per game sooner rather than later. Cant who's down to only 15 mins off the bench likely squeezed out for him.

Yeah I think him being tough and playing through the busted shoulder has given people an inaccurate view of what he’s actually shown as a player. In cup he was averaging something like 6 runs a game. If he was 18 with potential that would be different but that was a 22 year old in cup. He doesn’t have a high ceiling. I think our offer for a development contract outside of the top 30 was fair.
