Correct Yosh. Jake has threatened to create stuff, probably more than any other spine player besides Gagai since he came in.

Actually feel for Cogger because coming through as a kid he had both a big boot on him + he was actually a bit of a nippy thing. It wasn’t weird that he made all those junior rep teams, he was a real talent. But then he just had horrific luck with that awful groin injury (which I think he made worse by trying to play through it despite being in excruciating pain - I’ve heard him talk about it, he thought he had to play through it to prove himself, but he shouldnt have even been training on it). I don’t think he’s ever gotten his full range of motion back since it was repaired. He’s done pretty well to carve out any sort of career at all, considering.
Ah didn't know that. Now I feel a little bad for bagging him so much. Hope he has a long and fruitful career, just not at the Knights. In all seriousness, hope he does play for many more years and has a successful career.

Pasami torn pec. Out for rest of season, not sure on pre-season.

Source his misso’s tiktok

And it begins....

Generally around 12 weeks for a more serious one from memory, so might not be full go for start of preseason if it is, but shouldn't miss out on much assuming there isnt much contact work pre-christmas.

Im too lazy to check the timeline but did we think we were getting Brad Arthur at some point? Or just signing the coaches mates sons?

Something about clauses for if an NRL gig popped up can get them out of the contract i believe.

No doubt the bean counters will be pushing for Green to coach for a couple years to recoup the lost money from the AoB payout rather than pay up for an experienced coach...

However if the performances like this year continue, they'll loose a hell of a lot more revenue.

We have a short window now to boost the attractiveness of the club recruitment-wise before players realise we're full of shit and still full of plod. We should have opened this window when some legitimately attractive targets were available earlier in the year, but here we sit with our dicks in our hands once more.

Still, sell new recruits on a new, fresh direction. Can't be worse than trying to sell the potato that couldn't get it done for half a decade.

Anasta might start taking our calls again for Pezet, too. He (rightly) thought O'Brien was a complete turnip.

I’ve now seen a couple of different articles suggesting we may look at Pezet again & Braith on NRL 360 last night said Peters would be a great choice for us. If any of that happens it does seem like the issue wasn’t that Braith thinks his clients are too good for the club, and yeah god if we do end up getting Pezet that would be pretty definitive proof that AOB was the reason we got knocked back…

Toohey's News

- Says Green is the favourite, would be a popular choice in-house and is seen by some as a sure thing, but mentions more experienced possibilities like Holbrook & Peters “if” the club chooses to go down the interview route.

- Jack Cogger is heading back to the Panthers on a 3-year deal with the Knights chipping in part of his salary for next season.

- Trey Mooney has finalised a contract with the Knights of “at least 3 years.” Just waiting for the Raiders to sign off on the release once they re-sign Papali'i.

- Knights have upped their offer to Sandon Smith, offering 4-year deal to play hooker and backup half. Has offers to play his preferred position at the Cowboys and Raiders (though it was reported the Raiders pulled out yesterday). Says convincing him to play hooker has been the challenge for the Knights, and will be the reason they miss out if it happens.

- Mentions there was some thought to re-signing Jake Arthur if Cogger & Gamble both found deals elsewhere but the offer from Hull wasn't going to last forever so he had to take it.

I don't think the pitch to Sandon makes sense. Fletcher has done some good stuff in that 6 jersey because he's a good player, but he has far from demonstrated he should be an automatic selection there in terms of how he's done against the stuff you want a half to do well, specifically. Brown is a career 6 moving to 7.

You have to give the bloke a chance in pre-season to prove he should be in his preferred position. A guy who survived the Bataan Death March of Roosters pathways would be energised by the challenge.

Also seems a bit silly for a club which has apparently changed its mind about what position the hooker we gave a four year extension to just a few months ago should be playing to say "yeah if you come here you are playing hooker, end of".

The great advantage of signing Sandon is that he is proven capable at 6 and 7. This should be part of the pitch too!

I'm saying it shouldn't be a lie, specifically. Fletcher has proven you need to find a spot for him in the team. He hasn't proven that spot should be in the halves. He doesn't understand how to play 6, not really, not at all. Having him at 6 puts a lot of pressure on Brown to kind of do everything at 7 and he's never proven he's that kind of 7 - of which there are like three in the entire sport right now who are actually good.

We also don't know what position the next coach thinks Fletcher should play.
