There are a heap of players who suffer depression. Imagine if no club would sign Darius Boyd, Andrew Fifita, Dane Gagai etc just because of depression. As for the hamstrings - meh - occupational hazard.

If Jarryd had hamstring issues would you not sign him ? Or Thurston?

Hayne did have hamstring issues. In 2012-2013 he missed 21 games.

From the same article we may well be the club looking at Kurt Baptiste. With Peats gone he would be a good pick up.

THE NRL Integrity Unit are hopeful of speaking with Junior Paulo as early as Wednesday to quiz him about his association with convicted criminals before rubberstamping his Raiders’ deal.

The former Parramatta prop trained with Canberra on Tuesday and was named to wear the No. 19 jumper on an extended bench for the club’s Friday night clash against Manly.

But the NRL will not register any new contract until they are satisfied Paulo is fit and proper person to play in the NRL.

Paulo also has a criminal matter on his hands. He?s facing charges in relation to an alleged road rage incident that took place on the M4 last October.

The case was supposed to have been heard last month, but his lawyer was stranded in Fiji on a different case.

The matter has been adjourned until 4 August.
