If Ryles can fix Kelmas defence he will be a very good player...I like his attack.
Runs good lines and hard to bring down.
Defence has always been his issue.. fix that, occasional issue with his hands but there is definitely a Footballer there

Kelman had a whole off season to tidy up his defence and round 1 sucked ball...

Watched cup since he was dropped and he hasn't shown anything to prove he should be back in the NRL squad. He is lucky Lane isn't a second rower anymore..

Yep..,his defence is an attitude thing...not so much mobility/fitness....so easier to fix but not sure if he has it in him....I did think he did.....

Watched all these recently all different types of hookers in my book.

Coinakis and Da Silva are similar though Coinakis better defence and nice kicking game for some one that has only played up to Ball at this stage. Da Silva has better footy awareness at the moment and also has a pretty decent player in the tigers squad to learn from..

Smith and Hudson are very similar and just wont stop and are high effort players Ryles apparently was told by a former NRL player give Hudson a go.

But Smith at the moment is my pick out of all of them so far.
Pretty hard to compare the defence (or attack) of Coinakis to Da Silva..when one kid is tackling 19 year olds, the other seasoned NRL players....and with only 1 year difference....Da Silva is light years ahead...

What you are talking about would effectively be transfer fees and that has nothing to do with Terry Hill. Dennis Tutty sued the league and transfer fees were found illegal restraint of trade.

The problem with transfer fees and your suggestion above is, what is blah?

So Parra want Galvin and Tigers say well we want Mitchell Moses in return. Mitchell Moses doesnt want to come to the Tigers and there are no other players we want, the Tigers say ok, we want money and Parra says no problem, how much? And the Tigers say $12M. Then what?

Effectively it is the same as we do have now. If Galvin wanted to go to Manly and Manly would give us Oloakuatu, he would be at Brookvale by this afternoon. If Galvin wanted to go to any club and they wanted to give the Tigers $12M he would be gone immediately. of course $12M is a ridiculous number but thats the point......there is a right number.
The relationship is completely broken between Galvin and Tigers. There's no going back from this.

The media pressure from now to til the end of the season is worse for your club. Richo has proven his point about Isaac Moses, we all get it.

The best thing to do would now be to quietly let Galvin go and let him be the problem of Manly, Eels, Bulldogs or whoever else.

he's made more immidiate changes to our team in the last 4 or 5 weeks than BA did in 11 years...

I honestly think it took him by surpirse that we're so shit across the board.
I almost feel now that BA's biggest downfall was being friends with some players.

He kept dead wood in the side including his kid who was rushed in too early.

For the record, I used to think his downfall was the chase the collision strategy.

Said it once, said it million times…
https://www.espn.com.au/nba/story/_...c-johnson-violates-league-anti-tampering-rule

Sounds a lot like what Gus said the other day.
There seems to be a prevailing feeling that if he says something grey enough even on prime time TV that he’ll just be able to deny it’s tampering, even if what he says ends up actually working in his favour.
Part of the line of work I’m in, perception is 9 tenths of the law. If a reasonable person could construe your actions in the wrong light, then you are guilty regardless of actual actions or guilt.
This f**ker makes a dual living off the teat of the game. Surely the game can impose some restrictions on him.

guilty your honour

Fairly sure I mentioned the SG ball thing..

I wouldn't say light years ahead though... I Did watch Da Silva in juniors as well..
I’ve watched TDS all his career and have never been 100% sure of him until this year. He is going to be a gun. He is clearly learning a lot from API and he has the perfect career path ahead of him. We need to keep him. Worried about the impact of the Galvin thing on him but have heard reports that he is pretty pissed at Lachy. Tigers need to lock him up

100% correct about the fitness records. If you watch him play its a massive part of what makes him effective. he is constantly running into a new position in attack, switching sides and it makes it hard for oppositions to pin him. It has been a concern of mine of what is going to happen as he gets bigger and heavier, his game will need to change. He will not be 19 forever.
Same thing happened to Fittler. He went alright.
