Raiders had a hooker with huge wraps to-Name slip my mind-Also junk- AS was Srna from titans.
Bazal its not like there are many alternative options. Unless we turn a half into a hooker. Put a list of hookers available and go thru.
Cam Smith and Hodgson are the only two great hookers in NRL. Rest have faults in their games.
Travis Waddell? He was another one with big wraps that came to nothing. Hooker may be one of the - if not the - most difficult positions for clubs to evaluate NRL-calibre talent.
We have an extremely promising #9 prospect coming through in Kyle Schneider who I am a massive fan of but there is just no way knowing is there?
You've missed the point as usual. Our TPAs were dodgy because we don't have any 'legit' TPA sponsors. Meaning our only options were to cheat or pay his entire salary under the cap.If his TPAs were legal there would be no issue. In fact you actually agreed with this point in another Foran discussion a few weeks ago.
But no, you don't argue just for the sake of it....never, not Pou!
Lichaa offers solid defence, solid service and a solid running game. You seem to think any dummy half who isn't a star is 'garbage'.Is this bizarro world all if a sudden? We all were happy to see the back of Matt Keating, now some blokes want us to sign the new iteration? Lichaa offers absolutely nothing beyond tackling. At least MK had the odd good kick in him
You've gone mad.
Zero errors in five games. He's not a playmaker but with that pack he doesn't have to be. Likewise with our own pack and spine we don't need a playmaking dummy half.Lichaa is averaging 50 mtrs a game running - 42.5 tackles and 1.4 missed a game

You're essentially looking for a halfback who can defend in the middle. And if you don't have one who can play 80 minutes you need two of them.Travis Waddell? What exactly is wrong with his game and how does it make his team uncompetitive? No, I think Michael Lichaa is garbage. You're extrapolating an opinion on one player to cover all players.
He has no attacking game whatsoever. His service and decision making is poor, he is awfully slow at the base of the ruck, he has very little in the way of a passing game. Actually watch the Bulldogs, and you'll see there are a not insignificant number of times he throws an absolute shocking ball to one of his halves or forwards and, given his halves are also poor attacking players, his inability to create anything with the ball or give them reliable quality ball contributes to his sides inability to score points. He's a tackling machine and nothing more. You do not win premierships with players like Lichaa at hooker. We could get the same output out of Cody Nelson at a fraction of the priceWhat exactly is wrong with his game and how does it make his team uncompetitive?
This is why I'd personally be pretty happy if Peats came back. Yeah his injuries are a concern, but honestly he's as good as or better than what we're likely to get on the open market anyway. He's an astute player and a great defender, good service, knows when to run and gets his forwards over the ad line. Kaysa is fine as a back up to a player like Peats.
And the constant Peats rumours must be coming from somewhere, so potentially BA is well aware of this as well and is making moves.
The Bulldogs forwards don't seem to be struggling with Lichaa at dummy half. Are you sure you didn't just see him throw a bad pass once and now forever see him as 'garbage'?He has no attacking game whatsoever. Ant Mitchell is the one I've been bringing up a lot in relation to Kaysa. He was in our top 25 for 3 or 4 years as a very young player. Huge wraps around the place, plenty of unhappy fans when he went to NQ if I remember rightly.....NFI what he's up to now but it's not footy

I love Peats. He's not "creative" like Smith, or Farah, but his service is first class (any coincidence that we got good forward momentum with him at 9?), and he's a great defender.
And like you said - he's astute.
I'd love for him to come back, despite his injury history.
