He doesn't run a lot, but when he does, he makes good metres.
Ideally, we could get a hooker who is well-rounded - but who would that be?
Piggy Riddell was the last well-rounded rake we had. I think he's even rounder since he retired....

I guess my point was that having them both in the 17 would be ideal. But as you say, if you're paying for an 80 minute hooker you're wasting money carrying another hooker in your top 17. To get our money's worth out of De Gois and Kritchard we probably should have both in the 17, which appears to have been Arthur's intent in the pre-season. Is King good enough to play the opening 30 minutes? So why waste our Money in Lichaa? Pritchard needs the same time to develop. At this stage I see
More in Pritchards game than Lichaa and Lichaa has played 60 first grade games. Pritchard will come good( not that he's doing that bad ATM)
McCullough is a great defender but what else does he do, honestly? Peats is a better attacking hooker.
He does have a good 40/20 kick
Des locked in for two more years.
Foran will follow and bit of a rumour they will have carrot for Hayne to.
He's got quite a smart short kicking game too. He just doesn't need to use it often.
Very underrated player in most circles IMO
I don't reckon that's a smart move by the Dogs tbh. Not that Des is a bad coach....I just think he's taken the Dogs down the wrong path, and two extra years won't fix that. They need basically a whole new spine, and to do that well they need to shift some expensive forwards....it's going to get messy IMO. And if he sticks with what they've been doing they'll slip down the ladder more and more.
Keep all forwards and add Foran move mbye to hooker.
Maybe hayne . They will lose a fringe player and sign two stars.
The operators at the Dogs are smarter than ours so this is what they should do:
I think they paid a small fortune for Lichaa (which was dumb) so they will likely let him go, move Reynolds to 9, sign Foran (who won't be on the kind of coin that we paid for him), let Hoppa go who is off contract (and would be getting paid more this year than last) and use a stack of TPA's to sign Hayne.
Tpas. Some rich supportersThey have an awful lot of money locked up in their pack. Plus the Morris twins. Absolutely no way they sign Foran and Hayne without letting a few go.
If rumours are correct (which who fking knows), Lichaa is on 400k-odd. Hoppa will be on a bit, but they would have got him on the cheap relatively speaking when compared to Sewards ridiculous offer. Even if he's on 600k (which I doubt), given there will be players increasing and they've got juniors like Montoya and maybe Abbey they'll want to upgrade, that's not enough space to get Hayne and Foran even with bulk TPAs. They have anywhere from 1.2-1.5 mill tied up in Graham and Klemmer alone....
Something will have to give.
Would drew hutchinson be worth a look? Cheap and a better back up then Fogarty.
Josh reynolds would be good at hooker and a tough bugger would welcome him.
Where Gutherson long term? His best spot might be fullback.
In paper few weeks i read hoppa was 125 first year then maybe was 200 this year but if plays sundays would be a significant jump.

Syas who they havent front loaded a few guys plus cap goes up. Could have 1.5 mill. Throw in 500k in tpasSo if that's true, moving on Lichaa and Hoppa at best gives them 700k....
